Hello, currently i'am working on an relativly complex drawing. its a cinema seatplan.with all those detailed seats inkscape is renders really slow and freezes a lot of times. the outlinemode is working well but it would be nice if i could turn it on for only one or more specific layers. this is a feature-request.. some others ideas to speed up inkscape? its fine for simple graphics but gives a slow-motion-feeling at bigger jobs. i've read some discussions about multicore-support and i would also appreciate that. normally i'm a software-developer so my point of view is perhaps a little bit different from that one a normal user has. i know that this isn't a trivial thing but imho it has to be done to moving on to the magic you can do with adobe's illustrator or the freehand-thing. i'm not shure but i think that illustrator cannot do that too. whats about rendering with the gpu? a pluginable renderingsystem to be platform-independent. ok.. for now.. greetings and have a nice day :)
