forum guidelines/rules 2nd draft review
Hi again, I made the edits requested from the first review. And those gave me some other thoughts. I added a couple of new "wrinkles" to the prerequisites for moderator section, and for the duties and responsibilities.
For the change in prerequisites, I thought it couldn't hurt to encourage wider participation in the community, just by adding that language, but it's not a strict prerequisite.
For duties and responsibilities, the ability for a moderator to choose what they want to moderate is already allowed for the gallery moderation. So that's not a stretch. The reason for adding it is that it might encourage someone to help out (with approving new messages), if they otherwise didn't want to feel obligated to get involved in a behavior issue.

Thanks again for any comments, suggestions!

Hi again, There haven't been any new comments on the 2nd draft. If no one has any then I guess we should finalize it, and move on to the next tasks.
Although we can certainly move on before these last 2 things are settled, these are the only final issues that I know about.
1 - Where should this document be stored? And in what form? PDF? wiki? 2 - We still need someone who will hear escalated complaints (I would guess someone who has some kind of training or experience with conflict resolution?).
If no other comments, I'll move ahead with assembling the first team (moderators) and then we can set up the forum structure (categories and boards). And we can also start to plan the opening!
Thanks, brynn

Not wiki; it's already in version control via the content repo.
PDF may be the most formal looking, and could be linked to from the main website as well as the forum itself. Probably best if it could be uploaded to the main website somewhere. Alternatively, the vectors team also has an area on alpha, that is already holding some forum-related things: http://alpha.inkscape.org/vectors/
2 - We still need someone who will hear escalated complaints (I would guess someone who has some kind of training or experience with conflict resolution?).
If someone hasn't been identified within the week, remind me, and we can make it a board meeting topic and ask one of the board members to serve this role.
If no other comments, I'll move ahead with assembling the first team
(moderators) and then we can set up the forum structure (categories and boards). And we can also start to plan the opening!
LGTM, Bryce

An HTML copy would be nice even if it is not the main version, because then individual parts of the rules/etiquette could be linked to through anchors. -Arlo James Barnes

It can be put into the a) forum moderators group charter and then b) linked from places in the forum templates itself.
This is the best in-context location for the content.
Martin,
That sounds awesome. Should I make a new Issue in gitlab, to create the Forum Team?
Thanks, brynn
