Trunk (from ppa) crashes at launching on Kubuntu 16.04
New today after just after updating Kubuntu 16.04 (including Inkscape trunk and trunk data) Inkscape crashes at launching before showing anything of the UI. Worked fine yesyerday. ivan

Thanks, I only use the trunk ppa at the moment on Kubuntu 14.04 and 16.04 on an Intel Core I3 pc. And I experienced this morning that the same occurs on my two systems after updating 14.04 too. ivan

Hi, sorry for some lacking info. I don't built Inkscape myself at the moment and I only install from the ppa. My systems are Kubuntu (KDE) 14.04 and 16.04 all two for AMD 64 and on two separated partitions. ivan

I see. Well, for the record, I was able to reproduce the crash/segfault of inkscape on startup with the inkscape-trunk ppa on a newly installed Ubuntu 16.04 x86-64 VirtualBox virtual machine using the JWM window manager. Please let me know if I can prove to be of more assistance.

on IRC su_v told me it was a known problem - https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1576954 . It is fixed in the inkscape source already and will be fixed in the ppa.
