Localization of color selector strings

Hi, A note to translators/Bulia: It seems the official PO files do not contain the string "Wheel". This means that if you want the color selector tab title "Wheel" (in the "Fill & Stroke" dialog) to appear in your local language, you (as a translator) will have to append the following string pair to your PO file by hand: msgid "Wheel" msgstr "translation_of_Wheel_in_your_language" (this hack is currently needed because src/widgets/sp-color-notebook.cpp internationalizes a _variable_: tab_label = gtk_label_new(_(str)); ) Arpad Biro __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? bug: Inkscape opens files in a new instance, the first instance leaves itself useless

Hello everybody! Sorry, sourceforge gives me "forum not found" when I try to go to "inkscape-tracker" list. I know this happens sometimes, but here's a little bug anyway. When you launch Inkscape, and, right away, use the "file->open" dialogue to open an existing SVG file, Inkscape opens another instance of itself and shows this file in there. This makes the first instance useless, you can't use it to open a file in it (you can use it to start drawing a new one). So, instead of opening a new window, Inkscape should open the given SVG in it's very first instance. Apologees if this has already been fixed. Two features I would like

Hi, There's a couple of things that would take inkscape from the "interesting" to "useful" stage for me ;-) 1. Arrow heads. It looks like some work has been done on these. Anyone know the current state of play? In a previous message, Bryce discussed how they can be implemented with SVG markers; the message seemed to imply that the rendering support is already there. 2. Export to EPS. For my purposes, this would just have to get paths, text (though not necessarily font information) and fills right. Would there be any objections to a patch for this? Thanks Carl

exporting page background needed!!

I'm kinda angry, cause I messed up 150 A3 color laser prints, 'cause inkscape does not give you the option of not using transparency while exporting. Point is, I made a plakat for a party at my university and when converting a png with transparency to cmyk, the transparency is lost and it's the color as solid. Since I only made the png and was not there when printing I didn't notice that I forgot to put a white rectangle in the background. You see, I actually had encountered about the problem before, but had just forgotten to draw that rect, cause you don't notice the difference in inkscape and don't always think about that kinda crap. It cannot be that hard to make a check box in the export dialog, that allows you to reduce the image without transparency. Gonna file a bug on this. Hope it'll be in 0.38. David
