We already have autosave-on-crash already, actually. The one catch is
that for crashes due to failed assertions (like this one), it isn't
(I'm CCing the development mailing list, if anyone's interested in
attacking this right now:
At least on Unix, this is relatively easy to fix -- just set up a
SIGABRT handler similar to the SIGSEGV handler we have now. The one
catch is that the handler will need to disable itself as soon as it is
triggered, because the autosave code raises SIGABRT when it is done.
Also we should make sure we've got SIGBUS covered if we don't already.)
I extracted the last win32 snapshoot on my win2000 box.
My problem I cann not read the caption on the layer-combo-box on the statusbar. The Font is to small or hiroglyphic ??
I notice the Object Properties dialog has changed. Questions:
Why are Title and Description always disabled?
What is Label? It's made from the id obviously but pressing Update
informs me that it is "invalid". Hey, I did not put it there! Why
Inkscape gives me something which he (Inkscape) knows to be invalid?
Most importantly, where did the id= field go? We must keep a way to
edit id, even if we add more stuff to this dialog.

The current CVS does not compile, possibly because of
lines in src/extension/init.cpp and src/extension/system.cpp.

When you want multiple objects to have the same userpace gradient you
have to group them now (was already this way in the build I had from cvs
in mid october). That sucks, since maybe you don't want to group them
because there are objects between them (z-order wise).
Now, I think the problem is that for each object there is a new gradient
created on switching to gradient from solid. Therefore right after the
switch you have two objects with two different gradients selected and
hence can't edit the gradient(s).
