Simply ask pango or whatever to layout text that is say 256* larger font size. Scale the glyphlist back to the correct size. njh

Can someone please remove the link from the "download" page to my server? Since Inkscape was mentioned on /. , my server has been /.-ed. It is a development server at the office, and these 800+ downloads since yesterday are rendering it useless. I have hidden the pages for now, until this is fixed. Maybe someone can upload a recent build to SF.net, and point to that instead? Thanks, Bob

I tried out one of Bob Jamisons windows builds a few days ago and Inkscape 0.39 is looking really sweet, and I'm enjoying playing around with some of the new features. It is great now that the secondary toolbar/tool options palette (whatever ya call it) is now working for all the tools. The new picture in the about dialog is nice for a change. Although I'm very pleased and Inkscape is getting so good I'm fast running out of things to complain about ;) I cannot resist making a few comments: generally an about dialog provides information such as versioning and build options so that users reporting problems can let developers know exactly what they are using. It is a very minor point but the inkscape about dialog doesn't provide a convenient way (select and or) copy the text from the dialog. although there is a permanent zoom entry box on the status bar i still kind of expected to have one in the secondary/tool options palette when I was using the Zoom tool. Until you have learnt them icons can be slow to decipher, some sort of text labels on the Zoom toolbar might be an improvement. Thanks again for the software! Hi, I've added a new patch with misc fixes/improvements to the relocatable build in the patch tracker. Apply at your leisure. By the way, autopackage 0.5 is now out. * The rect toolbar now allows you to set the horizontal and vertical rounded corner radii in absolute units (pt, mm, etc) instead of the radius/halfwidth and radius/halfheight ratios as before.
