Hi everyone, Launchpad is really much nicer to use than SF tracker. However, I was wondering about tags: - there is only one kind of tag where there were several in SF. would it be a good idea to set a composite tag hierarchy such as: platform-all platform-linux platform-win32 ... instead of all-platforms linux win32 osx ... This is already somewhat done for ui and object and it would be nice to have an official way of designing such tags and to reduce the current number of tags, or at least the number of first level tags. What would be really nice is if "ui" could match both "ui" and "ui- something" but that's apparently not the case. - when adding tags to a bug, I could not find a way to get a list of pre-existing tags. It would be very nice to have that, or auto- completion of tags, or a tag could a-la del.icio.us or... ;) Is that possible in Launchpad? JiHO --- http://jo.irisson.free.fr/

display adjustment

Jon, sorry to be picking on you again :) but I have comments on the new command you added to View": - "display adjustment" is too generic. It may mean a lot of things. The statusbar tip explains it, but why not rename the command itself to something like "display color management" or "display CMS" etc. - if it's a toggle, it must be presented as a toggle and have a check mark against the command name in the menu. - if you cannot yet disable the command on displays where it does nothing, you must at least provide some feedback when the command is invoked - the statusbar must flash one of "display cms mode turned on", "display cms mode turned off," or "cms mode is not supported by this display." - what about windows? mac? if it never works on windows, please make it compiling conditionally, and mention that it's X-only in the release notes. -- bulia byak Inkscape. State of progress of Mac integration?

Hi all, I just finished talking with a friend who discovered Inkscape today (without any effort on my part :)) while working on a webpage for his funk & soul band. He was really enthused by Inkscape's power and usability, so first I'd like to give the kudos to all developers. However, using a Mac, he felt that the overall integration and "Mac feeling" could still be improved. Following my suggestion he gave one of the development snapshots a try (he was using the 0.45 release) and was pleasantly surprised to discover improvements (e.g., Apple key + click now correctly emulates right click). I think some of this is due to jiho's work? Thanks! (Also to all the others working in this area.) But some other things still don't work properly. He mentioned, for instance, that Inkscape windows cannot be opened/maximised by clicking on the task bar (or whatever it's called on the Mac), which I found strange but using Linux I can neither confirm nor refute. So I was trying to find info about the changes since 0.45 in the Release Notes for 0.46, unfortunately without success. Just out of curiosity (since I'm not affected by this), is any info about the changes or about what's still missing available somewhere? Launchpad Tips & Tricks: Graphs

Hi all, I asked Brian Murray if he'd include Inkscape in his bug plots, and he has. There's a certain joy in pushing the next hour's dot on the graph down, that helps when the triaging work starts getting monotonous. ;-) There's all manner of variations in status and time duration, too, although most are boring at the moment: http://people.ubuntu.com/~brian/project-graphs/inkscape/plots/ If the rendering style looks familiar, you're right! Brian uses gnuplot's svg output feature, then post-renders them to png using Inkscape. :-) Bryce
