Hi all, Please have a look at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/167422 "When zoomed out enough to hide minor grid lines, major grid lines get drawn with the minor grid line color." My comment: "I regret this was "fixed". Now you have major lines visible when there are no minors visible; now the grid is way too visible for my linkings when zoomed out. I feel there should only be highlighted lines when there is actually something to be highlighted. When zoomed out, you see all lines highlighted. So I either would like to have A. the old behaviour back: (only use major highlighting when minors are visible, otherwise use minor color for all lines). or B. have major/minor all the time. E.g. with a highlighted 'major' line for all zooms." Option B is not handy always and should be something can can be turned off. Option A might also be put under a checkbox (what will be the default?) Regards, Johan

Hi, What do you think about assigning a shorcut to "Layer - New Layer..."? Ctrl+Shift+N maybe? Also, is there any particular reason for not enabling dynamic shortcuts creation? Alexandre

I wanted to let you know that I'm leaving town for a week this Saturday, and I will probably not have internet access. If there is anything you would like me to do concerning the patch before then, let me know. I don't know what the deadlines are for 0.46, but I have plenty of time tomorrow to work on the patch if you need help with something, and I will also have a good amount of time to work on it when I get back a week from Saturday. tb_s and tb_e in toolbox.cpp

Hi all, We've just received a patch by Adam Strzelecki that improves Inkscape on OSX, and will probably enable us to make a native experimental build for 0.46. Bug Report and new Extension

Hi- I finally signed up on Launchpad, so I hope I did this correctly... I had written an extension to re-stack selected items (left to right, top to bottom, or vice versa) using a specified base point on each object. I posted about this on the inkscape users list. Recently I converted it to work with lxml.etree (Thanks Ted, Aaron, and Radek). It was really slow however, as it would call new instances of inkscape to get the location of the objects. Kurt pointed out this bug report/patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/174701 that provides a --querry-all command lie option, so I converted it. It now works, and it quite fast. In doing this, I found a bug in the live preview and optiongroups which I reported as a new bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/181799 I have attached the extension to that bug report, as I could find no other extension using the optionsgroup parameter type (other than the developer example that doesn't effect the drawing). My questions are: 1) Is it worth getting my extension added to the distribution? (This thread has an example of what it does http://inkscape-forum.andreas-s.net/topic/133367#594472 but using the old code) 2) If so, can someone check my python? I have never used python before this and it was a significant effort in trial and error (I am not sure if the csv to list conversion is really necessary, but couldn't get it to work otherwise) 3) Also if so, should I "submit it" as another bug report in launchpad (or is there a different way to offer up an extension to the project)? Selection rubberband missing in some tools?

Hi all, is there a reason why the current selection is not indicated by a rubberband in (at least) Tweak and Calligraphy context? I keep stumbling across this issue when I want to tweak an object but the Tweak tool refuses to work - until I select the object in question (which I can't verify, though, since the selection is not visible). Python Extension Changes to getElementsByTagName?

Hi- I couldn't find this in the bugtracker, so signed up to ask here Hope this is appropriate... has there been a change to the SVG handling in recent devel nightlies (win 32 binary versions)? Several extensions I had written no longer work.
