limitations of CSS and SVG animations.

Browser support for animated SVG Animated SVG files with JavaScript as the animation type are supported by all major browsers. This means that your animation will work and look the same in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Unfortunately, if you choose CSS, not all properties work the same in these browsers. Please see the differences below: AnimationChromeFirefoxSafariEdge Morph 53+ - - 74+ Filter - Yes - - Move on path (linear) Yes Yes Yes Yes Move on path (curved) 56+ 72+ - 74+ *CSS chart* Also good to know: Safari doesn't support negative values for the dash-offset property. Color transition animation is limited for JavaScript and CSS, too. You can animate a smooth color transition from color to color, but not from gradient to color or from color to gradient. Inkscape Developer Meeting: Tomorrow

Dear Developers, Marc has accounted a developer meeting for tomorrow. It's a short 30 minute meeting where we can get together to talk about the previous 8 days of development and anything that has come up. He's said that he preferences IRC the freenode chat channel #inkscape- devel but the developer channel on https://chat.inkscape.org will also be available and logging the meeting. The meeting time will be 5PM CET (3PM UTC) If you can't make this meeting, you can attend the next one which will be August 24th, same ink place, same ink time! Thanks everyone! I'll see if I can knock up something quickly in javascript that demonstrates what I invasion for dynamic undo-redo. you'll be pleased to hear i'm going into retirement for a good while. so no SVG animation for now unless someone wants to continue where i left off. this is to work on personal projects.
