Hi Everybody, Recently i found a bug, i don't know if this has been reported but here is. When you use fonts, the box that contain the text cut the base of this. When you are editing the file doesn't appear, the art looks well but when you export this to png file, the bug appear. If you convert the object text to traced, the bug doesn't appear either. Nathan, You've landed dozens of contributions to Inkscape and been recommended by Mc and Speleo3 to have commit rights to trunk. I've granted your new access permissions and want to echo their appreciation for your dedication. Keep up the good work! You don't need to change anything about your current workflow right away, if you're comfortable with it. The other developers can answer questions and give guidance when you're ready. It would be great if you could assist other prospective contributors by helping review the merge request queue, there's a lot of good work there that needs good shepherding. Inkscape Business Card

Attached is a sample of the new Inkscape business card for review. The idea was to make a foldable card so people could write notes on the inside of it. I thought that a notepad theme would work, and I included my favourite Inkscape hotkeys on the back for added value. Yes, the hotkey text will be small, but it is a business card, so. :) -C

LGM Hackfest in Saarbrücken, Germany

Hi all, We will be having our next hackfest just before the LGM meeting in Saarbrücken, Germany. All members of the Inkscape community are encouraged to attend. Financial support is available but you must sign up in advance (and follow SFC travel rules). We already have ten people signed up so this could be our largest hackfest to date! Inkscape Scatter Extension Error

Hi, I was trying to use the Scatter Extension with the 1.0 Alpha version, following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EoUu0KrZZ0 It works fine with the latest stable release, but with this alpha version when I tick the live preview checkbox it displays the following error message: I have rebuilt three times (twice on windows, once on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) ), but the error still there. Extensions for the 1.0 release (report)

Extensions 1.0 - 2019-03-24 to 2019-04-01 I've completed a very exausting slog through all of our extensions for the Inkscape 1.0 release. Below is a detailed report on where we currently stand with our extensions repository. There are some decisions to make wrt how we support dependancies, how we test extensions that call out to outside programs and how we fix the remaining issues. If you'd like to help out, then pick one of the extensions in the failed, missing or otherwise has a problem from the below lists and download the inkscape-extensions repository from GitLab. Use pytest tests/test_[name_of_extension].py to test the specific extension you're interested in. New "Inkscape Extras" group

Hi all, In our gitlab setup, I've added a new team "Inkscape Extras". The principle motivation for setting this up right now is to facilitate work on the extensions, to establish a collaborative space for community contributors to share their work, but with a clear delineation from the core extensions that we as a project formally support and distribute. Inkscape Extras can include other side-projects, experiments, and other misc. codebases that are worth sharing with each other, but that we won't be formally supporting, packaging, or distributing. Access to Inkscape Extras can be given out broadly (i.e. we don't need to require the 2-patch rule for access like we require for the "Inkscape Devels" group). Let me know if you have questions, or need help getting projects set up under this group. Bryce
