new categories for gallery
by Brynn
Hi Maren,
In addition to a new Icons category for the gallery, mentioned in
IF, maybe should think about filters, templates, symbols, patterns, markers,
etc.?
I wouldn't be surprised if you already had this thought.
All best,

Dear Srravya,
I saw your message on launchpad. Rather than comment there on that bug
report I've emailed you directly here.
(hopefully this email address is right)
We'd love to have your help on the inkscape website. Please provide some
more details and links to past work or a profile page. You can also
register for an account on http://staging.inkscape.org where we practice
using the website content management system.
Thanks for wanting to help,
Best Regards, Martin Owens

bad link in Extension Repository
by Brynn
Hi Friends,
I've found an extension in the Repository with a not found url. I'm
not sure who looks after this page, if anyone does. Should it just be left
alone until the extension author comes to fix it? Or should it be deleted?
Anyway, it's 1.39 Badge Renderer.
Thanks,

old staging pages
by Brynn
Hi Friends,
I've been searching for Inkscape extensions today, and just came
across one of the old pages on staging (in search results), where I was
reorganizing community info. The last I remember, I thought those were all
going to be deleted. But they're all still there -- 9 pages!
It could be my memory isn't correct. But in any case, all those
pages that start with "brynn...." could be deleted.
All best,

Hi, I'm Xavi, the author of the medium post.
What would be a really good outreach is if you contact the author of the

I certainly don't mind contacting them and asking...or inviting them to help

You can quote or simply copy my text without quoting, or I can do it myself
if I learn how.
Its totally no problem, just let me know.
I wrote the text in medium as a self-guide on how I learnt to make a simple
extension but since I am not a developer I was not sure it was ok. If
anyone with more experience thinks this guide is good enough for inkscape
guide to get started in inkscape extensions Ill be more than happy to help.
I used some of this other posts as a reference for creating my own
extension: https://github.com/Xaviju/inkscape-placeholder
:)
