I'm in the process of replacing the icons... unfortunately tortoise svn
spazzed after I renamed the old set, and I'm having to do a clean check
out to get it resolved. It should be done shortly. Thanks for your patience!
Help. Tricky code and lack of sleep have slowed my brain a bit too much.
For doing color drag-n-drop I've got an SPItem pointer, and the color
RGB value that was that was dropped onto it.
My main question is what is the 'proper' way to do that?
I am getting this compile error with inkscape on linux.
I have installed gc2.7 and was using gc2.5 before that with no difference.
gc.cpp:118: error: `GC_enable' was not declared in this scope
gc.cpp:119: error: `GC_disable' was not declared in this scope

Apparently upon the beginning of the barrage, the donkey broke
discipline and panicked, toppling the cart. At that point, the rockets
disconnected from the timer, leaving them strewn around the street.
Tethered to the now toppled cart, the donkey was unable to escape before
the arrival of U.S. troops.

I just finished one small UI enhancment - ability to create sublayers
by using "Create Layer" dialog (patch
), I find it very usefull while I'm creating maps on Inkscape, but I
wonder that other are thinking about it.
Also, I found two very nice SVG features supported by Inkscape
rendering engine, but not available in UI - masks and clipPaths. I
tried to think of various ways to implement that in UI and there is a
- Add menu item "Mask from selection"
- Menu item invokes a dialog where user can input:
- select if he wants to make a mask or clip path,
- enter a label,
- view box type (none, user space, object bounding box). This also
enables view box properties (x, y, width, height)
- select if original object should be removed from layer
- select if mask is automatically applied to a current layer
- Add properties "Mask:" and "Clipping path" to layer properties
dialog and let user select from available clipPath/mask elements
- Not sure how this should fit into a layer dialog which (as I
understand) is currently developed
For a start I will make a prototype for myself without a dialog (mask
creation from selection, applying it to a current layer), and if the
will be no objections in this list, I will make it with a dialog.
So, I'd like to hear that do you think and maybe someone can give me
some tips, things not taken into a consideration, etc.
similarly to inkscape-user-es, surely more than 3 italian users
(minimum requirement) asked me for a mailing list where to discuss
about graphics and Inkscape in Italian.
So I'm asking administrators to create a new mailing list (namely
inkscape-user-it or just inkscape-it)...
Feel free to contact me if you need more info.
Also, please let me know when done in order to announce it to users.
