SPCurve::get_pathvector instead of get_bpath

Hi all, Maybe you've noticed: I reworked the internals of SPCurve such that now it is possible to get the old Inkscape pathtype (NArtBpath) or the 2geom type PathVector (both representations are kept in-sync with each other). I have started converting all calls for the old type (get_bpath or SP_CURVE_BPATH) to the new PathVector type (get_pathvector). Helping me with this conversion would be really nice, but I think I have already dealt with most of the easy ones. Therefore... My request is for *new* code to use get_pathvector! I'm sure you'll find the 2geom type much nicer to work with than the old path type. If you need help, talk to us in the lib2geom jabber channel; some times functionality is lacking from 2geom and we are very interested in hearing about them! :-) Johan

Segfault in select-context.cpp

Hi, all. I am geting a segfault at line 413 in select-context.cpp during startup: switch (event->type) { where "event" is null. This is in sp_select_context_root_handler(), which is called by, in the stack, sp_event_context_root_handler() sp_desktop_root_handler(), which is called by sp_marshal_BOOLEAN__POINTER() which is a Glib thing. "event" appears to be null all the way up. Has there been a change to any of the knot code to cause this, or am I seeing a typical verb alignment problem from verbs.h being edited and a clean build being required? I did a clean build twice, just in case, but no effect. bob

Added Spiro to possible modes! :D (is it possible to do LPE on top of Spiro lines yet though? I'm not sure about what to do with all the other options though (or if they're even necessary with the pencil tool), the toolbar is getting quite crowded as is.

Multiple NR::Filter symbols

Hi all. verbalshadow and I have been having link errors today. The reason is, that sp-filter.o and nr-filter.o both contain all of the methods of NR::Filter. After a lot of searching, I noticed that sp-filter.cpp #includes nr-filter.cpp. Not the .h, but the .cpp. That can't be right. :-) Does someone need to fix this? Things work nicely with that line commented out. bob

Waring: Sans font not in fontlister

Hi all, I forgot: how do I get rid of this warning? ** (inkscape.exe:1616): WARNING **: Family name Sans does not have an entry in t he font lister. I get it for example when drawing a rectangle, but also when dragging it, etc. Thanks a lot, Johan

Merge my branch into trunk

Hi Peter, devels, I have just merged my branch back into trunk. Most of SPCurve's methods are also correct for the 2geom path in it, so one could start using get_pathv instead of get_bpath to get path data. If you want to do testing for me, please comment out this line in /src/display/curve.cpp: #define NO_CHECKS (put comment // in front) This enables the checking I have coded at the end of those functions to check whether there is a difference between the NArtBpath repr and PathVector repr. Because of this "doubling" of path operations, things will be slower, but I didn't notice a huge set back. The doubling will be removed when it works 100% okay, so no worries! Thanks! Johan
