Hi all, A long time ago i propose to think in an Extensions Repository. There was more tings to think and that was forgotten by me too. Now i write a draft specification here: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/ExtensionsRepository#The_Repository… Will be cool if somebody help to make the idea good enough to we have a real extensions repository. extension parameters

Hi guys, Been battling with trying to create an output extension today, and am having real trouble with the script I'm trying to call not having parameters that I've got in the command bit of the inx being passed to it. my inx has the following <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <inkscape-extension xmlns=" http://www.inkscape.org/namespace/inkscape/extension"> <_name>gmail file storage</_name> <id>org.ekips.output.gml</id> <dependency type="extension">org.inkscape.output.svg.inkscape</dependency> <dependency type="executable" location="extensions">gecp_ink.py</dependency> <output> <extension>.svg</extension> <mimetype>image/svg</mimetype> <_filetypename>Write svg to a gmail account(*.svg)</_filetypename> <_filetypetooltip>Export to a gmail account</_filetypetooltip> <dataloss>false</dataloss> </output> <script> <command reldir="extensions" interpreter="python">gecp_ink.py username:Inkscape_Files password</command> </script> </inkscape-extension> The script expects the username as arg 1, password as 2 and the filename as 3. all its getting is the temp filename. Anyone got any ideas why? Also any suggestions for asking for a user/pass combo in a secure way? Cheers John

bug in the layer menu

hi guys! First, I want to apologize for my English. I'll try to explain everyting clearly. So, some time ago, I found a bug. I'll describe it now. Please repeat with me. Create a new layer without typing a name and then click add. figure 01: http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/8720/01cz8.jpg Left mouse button on layer name (probably, the name will be called layer1) and call it anyhow. I called it "test". Please note that the name in the status bar still remains called layerX, not "test". figure 02: http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/7800/02bh2.jpg Next click on eye or padlock icon and note that name of the layer returned to layer10 (in my case). This won't happen if we name layer typing in window dialog. I've been testing it in the past but didn't know where to notify it. Also my language is a barrier so please forgive me for that. cheers!

It would really help to get the above patches in first. Code duplication

Hi all, there is a large chunk of code (~ 130 lines) that is essentially duplicated in both dyna-draw-context.cpp and eraser-context.cpp, namely the function fit_and_split(). The two versions only really differ in a few lines, but they also contains a couple of #ifdef switches that are used for debugging. The problem is that these are also dependent on the file (to wit, #ifdef ERASER_VERBOSE and #ifdef DYNA_DRAW_VERBOSE). I believe it would make sense to melt these two functions together, but how can this be done while at the same time respecting the #ifdefs? Is there a kind of #or directive? Max P.S.: It just occurred to me that the two contexts might share other code, too (although I haven't checked). Perhaps they could even be merged to a larger extent.

F9 + KDE 4.0 (and 4.1) + Inkscape (missing color picker widgets)

Hello, My apologies if I'm asking in the wrong place (this seemed like it might be a bug, so I thought I'd try here). So I installed inkscape-0.46-2.fc9.x86_64, and it's exhibiting unexpected behaviour in the color-picking widgets (in the Fill + Stroke dialog). Basically, they're not displaying any color: http://imagebin.org/24367 (RGB) http://imagebin.org/24368 (HSL) http://imagebin.org/24369 (CMYK) The 'Wheel' color picker, however, seems just fine. Is there a specific package dependency that I need to reinstall to get these color pickers to work (this is in Fedora 9). I also tried compiling from http://inkscape.modevia.com/svn-snap/inkscape-19664.tar.bz2 (build 19666 didn't seem to compile), but got the same result with the color pickers. Can someone help point me in the right direction to solving this? Thanks. --Mike
