Hey all, So I've gone and make the 0.48 release branch which will get the final cleanups and be made into the release. This should free trunk for all the fun stuff again. The branch was made at r9606. New translations and patches that are expected to go into the release should be committed to the new branch. I've updated the symbolic links in LP, so: lp:inkscape <- Trunk lp:inkscape/0.49.x <- Trunk lp:inkscape/0.48.x <- 0.48 release branch lp:inkscape/0.47.x <- 0.47 release branch For the most part, no one should have to care about this message unless you want to target something for the 0.48 branch. If you do want to make a branch for a fix, and you're not sure if it should go in the 0.48.x series please make it from the 0.48.x branch as it'll be easier to integrate than one made on from trunk. SVG1.1 F2 Last Call for Comments

Hi, Just want to make sure that everyone knows that the last call for comments for SVG1.1 "Second Edition" deadline is July 13th. The proposed standard can be found at: http://dev.w3.org/SVG/profiles/1.1F2/publish/ The currently reported issues can be found at: http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/WG/track/products/24 Many of the reported issues have to do with filters. Extensions (bug)

Hey all, https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/202540 appears to pick up on a handful of extensions that are now misbehaving due to a change in our internal handling of path data. Is the latest patches approach the correct one as far as everyone thinks? I'm relying on people w/ more experience with our extensions (and changes in path handling) to give input on this. If we can avoid this blocking the release it would be great. Can't tamper w/ paths in unexpected ways. Cheers, Josh

Inkscape 0.48 - Status

Hey all, Last pre-release should be cut soon and the plan is to branch on Friday. There are currently a couple minor known issues (and a bigger one, but that one should be a easy fix) and we hope to get them wrapped up in the next couple days before branching. Translators, please get all translations committed by Thursday night. If anyone has any bugs/issues that need attention, please bring it up now. su-v you're excused from this piece since you're so good at telling us via public chat. :) Cheers, Josh

radial gradient documentation

I know I've asked this before and there was some simple hot key to switch the radial gradient from inside to outside - but after 30 minutes of searching and trying dragging the nodes around (asymmetrical was easy, not complete invert) So I can't find the hot key - can someone help again ? Can this be documented better - I couldn't find it in the hot keys list, nor under the tutorials, nor in the "inkscape manual" - maybe it's there somewhere but not obvious (at least to me).
