Hi, I'm trying to commit Daniel's new translation (finally the downloading of patches started to work), but cannot do it. Looks like we need 0.38.1. Postscript export crashes, as reported by two people already. It's caused by yesterday's last minute blunder. This fix is simple: in src/extension/internal/ps.cpp, line 271, replace g_free(fn) with g_free(local_fn). stroke tips cut off

I just submitted bug 932254. When the angle of the corner of a shape is small enought, you notice, that the tip of the stroke is cut off. What is wierd about it, is that no matter how you rotate the object, the tip is always cut off vertical and horizontal. It seems like there was a bounding box for the object, outside of which the stroke is not drawn anymore. Have a look at the picture I submitted with the bug report. Take care David

view, hide dialogs

Well, most of you will agree that inkscape should move into a direction where dialogs get smaller and less important, and that rather the secondary toolbar should be used instead. But since that is a long way, I suspect, how about an option to view/hide all _active_ dialogs. There should be an item for this in the menubar>view menu and I'd suggest that ctrl-tab does the same. I know this behaviour from indesign, but it's not that useful there, because it hides your toolbar aswell, which kinda sucks, because it's hard to keep on working. Anyway, what do you think about it? David

spiral tool

I'm not sure, if it is a bug, but is sure looks wrong! Take a look at the attached png and you'll know, what I'm talking about. This happens with a low divergence and the inner radius set to 0. I don't understand why the spiral would wind in with an angle of almost a 90°. David

However I think it needs to wait until we streamline CSS properties handling, otherwise it will be very hard to do cleanly. unable to select a tool

Not sure, what I did, and I haven't managed to reproduce that bug yet, but I opened the tips and tricks tutorial, went back to my document and was not able to select a tool anymore. I could select all the toolbuttons and have them all pressed at once, but there was no way to change the tool from caligraphic pen to anything else. also the dialogs would be behind my window. When I closed the tutorial, everything worked fine, but reopening it messed up things again. Restarting inkscape turned out to be a way to get rid of that problem. But as I said, I have not managed to reproduce it yet. David
