pdf hyperlink issue

Dear Sir/Madam, I am currently using Inkscape version 1.2.2 on my MacBook M1 running MacOS Ventura 13.1. I am facing an issue when trying to add a target (_blank) to a hyperlink in my PDF. When I open the PDF in my browser (Firefox or Brave) and click on the link, the PDF tab closes and the link opens in a new tab. I attempted to troubleshoot the problem by opening the development tools in Firefox, and I noticed that the "target" field of the link <a ...> is empty, as shown below: <a data-element-id="10R" title="https://www.google.com" href="https://www.google.com" target="" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" id="pdfjs_internal_id_10R"></a> Thank you for your time and attention. Feature Freeze for 1.3

Dear Developers, This is to let you all know that the developer team decided to set the feature freeze for 1.3 to January 31st 2023. This gives you a few weeks to complete a feature merge request or help a GSoC student complete their work. Also decided was that there won't be a 1.2.3 release, but there will be a macOS only 1.2.2 (build 3) release, which we may want to advertise which should produce some better compatibility. I get emails from people talking to me about inkscape like I'm a member of the inkscape team (see email below). Which i am not. I don't understand. OSC or UDP messags

Hi, A general topic I'm interested in, with many applications, is the possibility of using OSC or some custom UDP protocol for messages. As such, all the core application needs to do in its run loop is to check for pending packets and process any that have arrived (the rest of receiving could be on another thread). For example, so that you could use essentially any device with rotary knobs or buttons to control things like line width or colour of the selected object or, more generally, anything else. OSC is a common protocol used by some music software, but I'm interested in its use beyond music software. You could send messages like e.g. /currentobject/linewidth/changeby 46 "pt" to increase the line width by 46 pt Essentially anywhere there is a numerical value the user could control via e.g. the toolbar or some slider somewhere, or something that could be toggled on/off, or stepped through, there is the scope for controlling it via something tactile like a rotary encoder on a Midi controller, or anything else. (You could easily have an external program which handles conversion to/from what an app understands.) Just my general line of thinking. My motivation for trying to get along with this idea is devices like the TourBox which, in absence of a protocol like OSC, is just a box and some (bloated) software that turns knobs and buttons into keyboard shortcuts to control applications. Notably, the OpenClipart import is now available to everyone, regardless of the selected packaging format or operating system, spellchecking finally works on macOS, performance is improved (in exchange for dithering disabled by default), extensions that modify colors can now also modify colors in patterns again, and for our maker community, we fixed some issues with the measure tool, the DXF14 export and with hairline strokes.
