Hello, I'm a french author of some books published into paper. I have make a lot of screenshot without asking permission. Furthemore Inkscape is in GPL so we don't have to ask. I'm involved into inkscape since few years, i have a docwriter status. Some illustration for explain tools like the good one for the pen tool which explain the angle fonctionnality... are made by some people. This for example was made by Bulia. I ask him if i can put this illustration into the book he says ok. And i send him the real book after. The logo, is a trademark. If you want use it you have to receive the agreement of ted gould and other people who have put it into trademark. The real question is : depend of the licence of your manual. And you have to credit all of your resource on the book. Hope it help. Thank you for the romanian section you created. I started translating the 3D Box Tool chapter as a test and I'm waiting a feedback from you. Is it OK how I made? Do I need to change something from the writing conventions point of view? On the other hand, a link to Romanian section in the Inkscape Wiki page (http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/UserManual) I think it is welcome (even if the translations will be available bit by bit). Browsing the FLOSS manuals site, I noticed the links to Inkscape_br, Inkscape_de and Inskape_ru in this page - http://translate.flossmanuals.net/read - points to audacity instead of inkscape. Hi, I have updated the to-do list based on the feedback from Alexandre and Joshua (see below). A couple of comments: based on Joshua's reply about first updating existing chapters before writing any new chapters I have labeled any content that would require a new chapter so these can be left until existing chapters have been updated. I have left the translation of the guides grids and snapping chapter in with the existing chapters as I feel that it is a necessary chapter to add. If everyone thinks the list looks good then we can ask Adam if he will create a to-do list for us on the manual page to help keep track of what still needs to be done. I have already made notes where I have noticed that people have already started making changes. Hi, After my last talk with Joshua about updating the manual for the .47 release, I came across the pending release notes for .47. Using these I made a list of updates or modifications that should be made to existing or new chapters so the manual will line up with version .47. So I would like a review and some recommendations made and then may be we could get the list made into a to-do list on the FM inkscape page. The list that I made was created from the material in the release notes for .47 not from comparing .46 to .47 and I have noticed that some of the features mentioned in the release notes are not present in my devel version. whether these are still to be added or dropped I don't know. I have pasted the list below.
