Calling all Inkscape Contributors! It's time for you to cast your votes for the Inkscape 1.4 About Screen Contest! Round one has elevated 5 artworks into top contention as favorites from the Inkscape community with 855 total ranked votes from 251 voters. As Inkscape Contributors, you are the final panel of judges to vote for their favorites to award the next winner of the About Screen Contest that will be featured in the next release! Voting begins Monday, April 22, 2024 and ends at 11:59 UTC on Monday, April 29, 2024, so be certain to cast your vote soon! How does this work? We're using ranked choice voting, which means you can vote for many artworks. Click the checkbox on any artworks you'd like to vote for from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least. They'll be re-arranged from your top selection to your bottom. Vote for as many or as few of the entries as you'd like! (Each Inkscape Contributor may only vote for each artwork once). Inkscape 1.4 About Screen Contest: Community Voting until April 21!

We've received some excellent entries for the About Screen Contest! Community Voting is open now through April 21 (ends 23:59 UTC)! The topic for this years' contest was "Growth". This first round of voting is the Community Round. Voting will be ranked choice voting, so click the checkbox next to each artwork to vote for as many ― or as few ―artworks as you'd like. Vote from your top choice to your lowest choice. No need to vote for every work, just as many as you'd like to see elevated to the final round of voting. Remember, each voter may only vote once. For each new version of Inkscape, we invite all Inkscape artists, newcomers and seasoned professionals, to submit an artwork for the "About Screen" contest. The About Screen Contest is about more than the About Screen. Contest artwork is also frequently featured in news articles about the release, on the inkscape.org download page, and in other locations. Each and every submission also helps us test the newest version of Inkscape. The topic for this year's contest is "GROWTH". We're excited to see what great art is submitted this year! Wrong files being merged in merge request

I created a branch out of my main fork from the manuals project. I used it only for changes to the Finding Your Way Around chapter of the Beginner's Guide. I now want to merge the changes to inkscape/inkscape-docs/manuals:master, but the request page is saying that the files that will be updated are those I already sent for a previous merge, and none of the Finding Your Way Around files are listed. Am I supposed to wait until the first merge is approved? What am I doing wrong? Creating a separate GitLab merge request

I recently made a merge request for changes to the Beginners' Guide intro chapter. I'm making changes to the next chapter and committing them, but I want them to go to a separate merge, because Maren wants a separate MR per chapter. I don't see how that's possible.
