Is now here: http://inkscape.org/doc/keys.html as well as in doc/ in the distribution. Rather than ask anyone person directly I would like to politely request that people try to change the subject line a little more often. I'm finding it extremely confusing to try and follow all these different threads with the same subject lines. (It would probably be easier if did something to break up the list digest and got my mailer to thread everthing nicely but I would still very much appreciate it). Thanks in advance. Replies offlist please if necessary. - Alan PS I first wrote this message Feb 8 but didn't send it as I was hoping that if I concentrated really hard it my just happen due to my physic powers but it seems they have failed me.

Inkscape Feature Freeze

At this time we are temporarily closing the codebase to new features or other significant codebase changes until we are ready to cut the release branch. Until that time, please focus on bug fixing, testing, and packaging/documentation enhancements. Code cleanup work, including removal of the 'if 0' code, conversion of tabs to spaces, cleaning up compiler warnings, etc. should either be postponed or completed soon and with great care and testing. In general I would encourage everyone to set aside feature development or code cleanup work to focus on testing the application and fixing critical bugs. The sooner we can work through this process, the sooner we can have the release completed and be back to regular development. :-) If instead you'd like to continue with development or code cleanup, please do your work on a branch and plan to merge it subsequent to the release. prerelease

Since some folks seem worried about us being "scooped" by the upcoming Sodipodi release... How would you all feel about doing an Inkscape prerelease -- that is, take a known-good CVS snapshot this weekend, make a dist tarball from it, call it .. 0.37-rc1, and put it on the site with something like the usual announcement and release notes. As it's a prerelease, we won't need to worry about filing (all) the rough edges off or packaging for other distros, but we'll still have put our stake in the sand. Maybe that way we could focus better on getting the final release out quickly, without feeling so much pressure to rush. -mental

text undo bug

Bulia, you were right. Not only was the bug in the undo code, it was in the Repr transaction logging stuff. The problem was that, on reversion of the log, content change events were pulling from the wrong union member, and erroneously "reverting" to the "after" state rather than the proper "before" state. Fixed in CVS. -mental

What needs to be logged here is nothing but a repr change, namely a change in the content of the text node inside tspan. This is what is broken. The fact that undo does not know about cursor movements is irrelevant - it must simply restore the previous content of the node, and that's what it cannot do properly.
