Now that the release branch is established, the main svn head is back open for regular development. Commit freely! Bryce P.S., while you're developing, if you spot a fix that ought to go into the release, please file a bug report with a description and the commit ID, and mark it milestone 0.46. Josh and I will take it from there.

Failure on .xcf save

Failure on .xcf save

Hi, I was trying to save a simple image tonight so I could play with it in the gimp. It's a rectangle, white, with a drop shadow. If I try to save as an xcf for the gimp I get the following error. " ** (inkscape:6325): WARNING **: Format autodetect failed. The file is being opened as SVG. No batch interpreter specified, using the default 'plug-in-script-fu-eval'. Changing build.xml causes build.dep to be recreated, which is what makes it compile. The dialogs/filedialog-win32.cpp file is now gone, so the exclude line makes no difference whether it's there or not - I've now removed that line from the SVN; Thanks for spotting that! There is a filedialog-win32.cpp file, but that's completely different code now located in /ui/dialogs. Palette tweaks

I did a quick write-up of the color palette changes I got in this week. http://codewideopen.blogspot.com/2008/02/color-palette-tweaks-for- inkscape-046.html I know Bulia had more ideas of what might be done, so perhaps others do too. What I'd be most interested in would be experience in using it, along with any "wishlist" use cases for additions. Thanks.

crash on pdf/ps export

I found that an access to a NULL-pointer caused the crashes on pdf/ps export. The pointer access is in the file src/extension/prefdialog.cpp line 178 in the function: void PrefDialog::on_response (int signal) { The function was last edited by gouldtj as follow: r17821@...1818...: ted | 2008-01-31 12:59:57 -0800 Okay, I'm not 100% sure what all these changes are but I want to start working on this again from a checked in point. I'll fix the bugs from here. So if one can review the diff from 17244 to 16419. Right now I just test for NULL in that specific case I found. HTH, Adib.

Strange, it compiles for me from a fresh check-out. Have you done that trick where you delete build.dep? I introduced a couple of new files. As far as I can see the file show-preview.bmp referred to by inkview.rc is missing, and FWIW should the copyright year be 2007? /Simon
