Hope everyone's summer is going well. I'd like to call the next board meeting for this Friday, July 8th. OS Windows: Automating Inkscape

A very first Hello, and many thanks for that awesome app! I'm an "OS Windows guy" and automation maniac, e. g. via AutoHotkey: AutoHotkey https://autohotkey.com / Automation depends on hotkeys, shortcuts and unique identifiable windows (dialogs) with their controls. Ideally, there is an integrated command prompt interface or something comparable available in the app. Concerning automating Inkscape 0.91, I have some first questions: 1. Missing/not unique hotkeys (the [Alt+_] combinations) in (main) menu items Is there a convenient way to add/change those h o t k e y s somewhere? The shortcuts are saved in XML-files, like default.xml. Via Preferences -> Interface -> Keyboard the shortcuts are editable. I found preferences.xml and some folders here %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\inkscape and the XML-files in my local installation ...share\keys\default.xml BUT exporting shortcuts crashes Inkscape. 2. gdkWindows and AutoHotkey I haven't any chance to access controls inside an gdkWindows via AutoHotkey. That's really a pitty. 3. The (new) guides... extension now has a tabbed UI, with an added control feature to remove selection target(s) in Target and Vector tab modes. -u

Board meeting June 3rd

There were a lot of action items out of the May meeting, so please doublecheck on your tasks and come ready to report. There will be an informal 0.92 release meeting after the board meeting (1pm US pacific time). Arcs in the path editor.

Hi, I've not contributed to inkscape before, this is my first time. I have created a branch which supports editing elliptical arcs in the node editor. I'm new to bazaar (and inexperienced with launchpad) so I think I've done the right thing with a merge request here: https://code.launchpad.net/~danieljabailey/inkscape/arc_node_editor/+merge/… (but thought I'd check by asking on this list.) Is this an interesting feature? If so I can polish it up for merging into the main repo. Thanks. Dan.

Interesting Robofont features !

Because I work a lot on fonts, cutting and pasting a lot between Inkscape and FontForge I see many features already present in FF which could be very nice in Inkscape. For example the ability to select handles separately from the node. But here are very sweet new Robofont features which could benefit not only to type drawers : https://vimeo.com/34351633 On the other hand FF visualisation of potential extremas and inflexion point on a curve are extremely useful too. ivan

Signals...

Hi, I have to admit that I have little real understanding of signals in Inkscape... How does one trigger a re-cascading of styling and a redraw when ever the content of the style element (XML Repr) is changed? I see that there is a: SignalObserver::notifyContentChanged() function but I am clueless as how to use it. Thanks, Tav

[UI] Rework Document Properties dialog
