Hi, I have download inkscape for mac... I need it for work and I'm a little bit worried... I installed it and I saved in application and it was ok. But when I tried to opened it, I always find the same error: "there is an internal error, the program will be closed". Filters rendering regression in Cairo

https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/849064 I explored other ways to avoid the bad rendering which occurs at step 2 in the file but as browsers render these filters almost correctly I think that could be a true regression. ivan

Hi Alvin, No, my machine embroidery software will only input .wmf files. It doesn't even list .emf format as being recognized :) Thanks though! Sorry all, my gmail is NOT playing nicely with this list's digest version :P I have to copy and paste the Subjects and messages manually. So I'm gathering there is no fix for me at this time? Boy, that's a bummer. What's the ETA on Uniconvertor 2.0 for Windows? Hi all, thank you for helping :) Yes I do have Windows 7 64 bit. I just downloaded and installed UniConvertor (the windows msi) at the link provided and I got the exact same error. I did not reboot, is it necessary? I have too much going on to reboot right now. With the installer, I used the normal installation and installed to the default location. Was that correct? Export as .WMF gives Errors, What to do?

I just downloaded and installed Inkscape a few days ago, and my main reason was to export to wmf to import into my Machine Embroidery programs. However, when I save a line art as .wmf, Python stops working and gives me a unicode error. Specifics below: ---------------------------------------- python.exe has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. After I click the Close program button I get an Inkscape error box that says: Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected. UniConvertor failed: rest of box is blank --------------------------------------------- I did a little research (i'm not a programmer just an end user), and it seems the bug has been confirmed but I can't really find what has been done about it, or what I'm supposed to do now. Can anyone help? Thank you, Gina

Brief inkscape-web project update: need help with content migration

I don't have time to post a proper status update with more details of what needs doing and I'm away for the next two days, but if there's anyone inclined to help with the inkscape-web project, please take a look at http://dev.inkscape.org/ and see where you can help. Content migration (English and other languages) is the main thing which needs to be done; many things which need to be done will be quite obvious. Code and content etc. is in lp:inkscape-web. -- Chris

Error in placement of text.

For the file: http://webdesign.wexfordpress.net/index.svg the text on the boxes looks fine in Inkscape but when viewed in Firefox online or locally the text on the box "Design Cover" overflows the box on the right side.
