There are some known issues with the related 2geom code. Nathan Hurst is working on this. I expect that's what you're running into. Snapping to paths broken?

Hi, With trunk I am having trouble getting snapping to paths to work consistently. I was thinking about demoing the new snapping to the intersection of a path and guide. I can get it to work sometimes but for the most part my test rectangle will not snap to anything to do with a path. Snapping to the grid and guide lines always works as expected. Has anybody else seen this behavior? It seems to not work more often with complicated drawings (many layers). I've also gotten this error message a few times: ERROR:widgets/toolbox.cpp:2108:void toggle_snap_callback(GtkToggleAction*, gpointer): assertion failed: (ptr != NULL) Inkscape r10675 with Fedora 15. I have add the one custom dialog in inkscape . In that i provide the on radio button that we mention the object priority Now my svg file save like Now i want to save svg file in ascending order , ascending operation in Priority value , After ascending svg file i want to save file like that i mention below For that i write custom code when user select Object Path .In "sp_item_list_to_curves" function i do ascending operation in Priority value . after that i can get the Priority values in ascending order .. Hi all, Could someone take the time to explain on our wiki how to compile Inkscape "out-of-source" on Linux/Ubuntu? Such that all object files and whatnot are not put in-between the source files in /src/ but in a separate folder, say /build/. Thanks a bunch! Johan

Synfig exporter extension

I've finished working on the first iteration of the SVG Synfig exporter. The essential features are there and a lot of bugs are fixed, so I think now would be a good time to consider including a copy with Inkscape. I committed the files into a personal branch of inkscape: "lp:~nikitakit/inkscape/svg2sif". (Disclaimer: I'm a git advocate and don't know much about bzr) My work was all done on Ubuntu natty with Python version "2.7.1+", testing against Inkscape 0.48.1, Inkscape trunk build, and a large collection of OpenClipArt files made with various (older) versions of Inkscape. It would be good if someone could test it on Windows and Mac (especially if the python versions are different). ~Nikita

Documentation

Hi, I've gotten back to trying to get more documentation straightened out and filled out. Some architechtural overview, getting started type details, etc. Does anyone else want to lend a hand? :-) Or more importantly are there any specifics I should look into filling out? That is, any areas people want me to look into, or any aspects that need special attention, etc. Thanks.

corrupt SVG or bad Inkscape parser?

When I edit a camel image from OpenClipArt.org, and save it with Inkscape, the resulting SVG becomes corrupt. Bad Camel http://www.openclipart.org/detail/7474/camel-silhouette-by-johnny_automatic I'm not sure whether this image is corrupt or whether Inkscape has trouble parsing it.
