Export as .WMF gives Errors, What to do?

I just downloaded and installed Inkscape a few days ago, and my main reason was to export to wmf to import into my Machine Embroidery programs. However, when I save a line art as .wmf, Python stops working and gives me a unicode error. Specifics below: ---------------------------------------- python.exe has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. After I click the Close program button I get an Inkscape error box that says: Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected. UniConvertor failed: rest of box is blank --------------------------------------------- I did a little research (i'm not a programmer just an end user), and it seems the bug has been confirmed but I can't really find what has been done about it, or what I'm supposed to do now. Brief inkscape-web project update: need help with content migration

I don't have time to post a proper status update with more details of what needs doing and I'm away for the next two days, but if there's anyone inclined to help with the inkscape-web project, please take a look at http://dev.inkscape.org/ and see where you can help. Content migration (English and other languages) is the main thing which needs to be done; many things which need to be done will be quite obvious. Code and content etc. is in lp:inkscape-web. -- Chris

Error in placement of text.

For the file: http://webdesign.wexfordpress.net/index.svg the text on the boxes looks fine in Inkscape but when viewed in Firefox online or locally the text on the box "Design Cover" overflows the box on the right side. text-stroke bug on trunk builds (linux)

to reproduce : 1) type quick some random letters 2) apply a stroke to them 3) try to select / deselect text by clicking outside of text body - you will see you have to click quite far to deselect if we have some more graphic objects around - it will be difficult to select anything near our 'text with stroke'. -- Nemes Ioan Sorin

Problem compiling nr-filter-slot.cpp

Inkscape to Synfig Studio: update

Hi everyone. I've been running my svg2sif converter through a semi-automated tester using a huge archive from openclipart, and now I have testing results. I fixed all of the major bugs I could find and it works correctly on a large number of SVG files. There are still cases where it fails, but almost all of them are caused by SVG files that don't originate from Inkscape. What stability should I aim for before it becomes a possibility to have it shipped with Inkscape? The kind of unsupported features I'm talking about include: viewBox attribute in <svg> tag gradients defined in the body of the document rather than in the defs section node having no id unicode<>ascii conversion error (If anyone knows I place where I can get a large number of Inkscape-only SVG files, that would help.) ~Nikita

bug in pdf export ?

Hi ! The following svgz file : http://dl.free.fr/hYWUU9wMI can be correctly viewed by inkscape or any web browser. However, when I try to export it as a pdf, the plots diseappears. Hence, I can't use the pdf+Latex export... I have tried Inkscape 0.48.1 on Windows 7 and Inkscape 0.48.0 on debian 6.0 This file is generated with gnuplot 4.4 pl 3. I d'ont know if this svg file is well formed (and there is a bug in inkscape) or not (and there is a bug in gnuplot).
