Hi guys, Great work on InkScape, shame it's so hard to contribute to the wiki. I was looking for a installing extension tutorial, to share on our Fablab website. Isn't there so instead of writing my own and sharing it on our Fablab website I though it would be better to have it on the Inkscape wiki / website. But then I can't edit the documentation page: http://inkscape.org/doc/index.php?lang=en (I actually can, but then I need to use svn, quite a threshold) I found the following page, which is a regular wiki http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Tutorials_and_help But there is no register method, it only tells me I need to E-mail the developer list to request a account. 1. 90% of people haven't used mailings before 2. There is no link to the actual mail list, and there are actually quite a couple of mailing lists. Could I get an account? Could you guys add a link to the mailing list on the login page and possibly some tips or even add a other registration method? Thanks in advance, Best regards, Peter Uithoven

Hi I want to help the Inkscape Manual team to compile a complete reference. Write more content for the website or wiki. I have installed and compiled Inkscape on my laptop. When I was first starting out i met several problems and some documentation I feel could be improved. I would like to submit some of these changes and have them reviewed. I am very interested in making documentation for Inkscape to improve the experience. Any suggestions where I can start? Thanks a lot. Cheers, Jiabao

Forum problem

I apologize if this is the wrong list, I suspect it is but I do not know where else to send this. I tried registering at http://www.inkscapeforum.com/ which claims to be the official inkscape forum. The registration failed saying one of the fields indicated I was spammer. I checked and tried again. Same result. Several times. I then looked at the FAQ to find an e-mail for an administrative contact related to the forum but it looked like a generic canned FAQ that no one has bothered to customize for inkscapeforum (such as adding an administrative e-mail contact). Who am I suppose to contact about proving that I am not a spammer so I can register there? Thank you, Alice Wonder

hi ! : i'm a design teacher, using the docs of ink ( http://inkscape.org/doc/index.php?lang=en ) the thing is, i have to translate to my students, the bitmap tracing tutorial ( http://inkscape.org/doc/tracing/tutorial-tracing.html ) , and, i think we can use my translate to be included in the doc's website. regards marco

Inkscape at Open Help Conference

Hi folks, I'm involved in the Open Help Conference this June. http://openhelpconference.com/ The conference is bringing together documentation and support people from various open source and community projects so we can share our experiences and learn from each other. I really like the interactive tutorials in Inkscape. I even showed them off during my GUADEC talk last year. I'd love to have somebody from Inkscape come to the conference and show this stuff. Is anybody interested? By the way, there are also rooms available after the event for team sprints. If you'd like to use the conference as a chance to get some face-to-face collaboration time, just let me know.
