Hello there! Once again I must admit how happy I am to use Inkscape - it has become no. 1 application that I use - see the attachment if you need proof ;-) Here is the list of example sites created by me, that use graphics by Inkscape. http://artemio.net My home site. The interface has actually been drawn in sodipodi (as I didn't know about Inkscape when I was creating thisone), but the rest (the icons on the main page etc.) is all by Inkscape. http://artemiolabs.com My audio laboratory site. 100% Inkscape. http://lilija.com.ua (in Russian) The site of a florictic shop where my sister works. 100% Inkscape. Note: all images were cut and JPEG'd with the GIMP (you guessed). Also, you guys mentioned that we, the users, can send you the screenshots of how we use Inkscape? I think it would be nice if, for example, you create a page on your site with a screnshot showing Inkscape at work and the web site that uses these graphics. If you need such a thing - just tell me. By default a small circle would be created. When a drag action is happening there would be a reasonably lange yellow border around it to indicate that it is not a normal shape. I fixed marker previews. Now all markers (no matter where they come from, i.e. both from the current document and from markers.svg) are automatically shown with their icons in the start/mid/end menus in the Fill&Stroke dialog. No need to provide a preview object in markers.svg; that file needs only contain the markers themselves in <defs>. Simarilius wrote a small tutorial on how to create new markers. It's in share/tutorials/making_markers.svg. It's not in the menu because it's supposed to be temporary until we have a GUI facility for doing the same in a convenient way. I also tweaked markers.svg: provided 3 coordinated sizes for most useful markers, removed some not-so-useful ones, and generally cleaned them up. I would add more markers, but the menus become difficult to handle when they grow too long. removal of private-fonts and libarikkei

Just a heads-up that I've removed the "private-fonts" private font installation facility. Anyone who had needed it in the past it will probably find their system's native font management facilities easier and more flexible at this point. Fontconfig has brought unix font management a long, long way. Also of note, libarikkei has been removed from the tree as it is no longer used. -mental

compiling problem
