(You can try, it's in src/pixmaps/handles.xpm which can be edited in a text editor.) Personally I would prefer smaller and simpler ones (just little squares), but that's for power users. Are these bugs?

Sorry about asking here. I just wanted to check before tracking down my sf login details to do it there. 1) Add a gradient fill to shape A, then combine it exclusively with another shape B to leave the remainder of shape A. If you copy then paste A, it gives you back the correct shape but filled only with black instead of the gradient. 2) Add a gradient fill to shape A, then combine it exclusively with another shape B to leave a shape that is originally smaller than the original shape A. The gradient fill is scaled to the new shape rather than keeping it's settings relative to the new shape size as is most likely desired. 3) After creating a rectangle, I can highlight it and select 'rect properties' from the context menu where I can edit the X/Y and other properties. If I then combinethe rectangle with another shape, I can not find any way to manually edit the X/Y properties other than rather clumsily in the XML editor. Another thing I would note is that I really would like to be able to have a dialogue open to show the currently selected shape details so I can quickly sift through different shapes without opening additional dialogues. As it is, I can only open up details for individual shapes and must do so for every single one. But you seem to be referring to something as detailed as the Mozilla roadmap or the OOo roadmap. Currently there really is nothing other than the developers' intentions which are shared relatively privately (probably unintentionally) through various emails and are very difficult to track down. Which, in reality, amounts to nothing publicly. I'm not expecting a thorough document. But something would be better than nothing. Just a list of the applications aspiring to be part of GO and what their main goals are in order to achieve that. A bulleted list of the overall goals is what I'm asking for. Something simple but something solid and easy to understand. Eg: (and this is my hypothetical example, nothing official) Gnumeric: - fully foster plugin framework to libgoffice - separate out and charting engine into library Just like that for each application; short and simple. I don't think that's much to ask, do you? Then, at a glance, everybody knows where they stand in regards to their project and everybody else's. Then it can be built up from there as we identify and agree on ways in which GO can benefit from further integration between applications and those goals can also be listed. We are not a complex organisation like OOo or Mozilla. But without defining basic goals (even broad ones) then how do the projects know what to work towards? If we define nothing then projects will go in their own direction on some fundamental issues, which may lead to problems down the line. I think that identifying basic goals and priorities early, _now_, will be the key to making GO a suite in the near future. Has anyone built a mac os x dmg package? Several of my artist friends are wanting to install/try Inkscape for OS X and need a simple way to get it up and running? website cleanup reminder

Hello, I cleaned up the website code to make it validate as xhtml 1.0 transitional. Just some reminders to you all whom edit the site that you should all: 1.) close all tags (<li>...</li> specifically). Thus, <p>...</p> and <img src="./blah.svg" /> (NOTE: the trailing slash before closing tag). 2.) tags are lowercase now and attributes are quoted (ie, <img src="" />). 3.) encode all all html entities like <, >, &, etc using their special code: <, >, & 4.) If you add images, then make sure to include alt tags (my printThumbnail script automatically adds them in--this is used for the screenshots page and main page) I converted many many of these to get the site to validate. Many ppl don't close <li> tags with the trailing </li> and the coding_style.php file had no special characeter encodings, which ring a bell on validation. Also, Bulia, the output from the keys does not conform to the doctype assigned to the generated html file (which is xhtml 1.0 transitional). I know these are minor tasks, but trying to cleanup the web code/markup as well during the BUG HUNT! Thanks, Jon PS: As a show of good faith, I closed the 4 minor website bugs in the bug tracker.
