I think we really need to get OS X DMG files, or an installer for OS X releases. The majority of OS X folks do not understand ./configure;make;make install. The difference between them is typically a 0.8 multiplier (ask Mental about the origin of that multiplier, I'm not entirely sure) and the Y axis being turned upside down (for user, 0,0 is the lower left corner, but in SVG it's the top left corner). There were discussions about converging these two coordinate systems, but I'm not sure about the current status of that. In any case, the "object attributes" dialog is more of a debug tool, it's not really intended for end users. The sensitive/insensitive property of objects is not actively supported at the moment, because we plan to implement layers instead (a layer can be made invisible and/or insensitive) and then perhaps eliminate the per-object sensitivity. Speaking of bugs and sodipodi, I noticed this bug was closed in sodipodi: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=851467&group_id=93… Perhaps someone who is familiar with the internals of inkscape and sodipodi could quickly port the necessary code over. Hi Everyone, I do design (mostly for tee shirts), and I love what you have been doing with Inkscape (although I must admit that I am still using Illustrator for most of my work). Anyway, is it appropriate for me to post to this list (not being a developer)? I have plenty of thoughts on the things that are being discussed here and on the wiki, but my programming skills are pretty weak. On another issue, I've noticed that making an item insensitive does not prevent it from being selected by a rubberband or a shift-click. Switch to Selector - there are convenient spinbuttons for X, Y, W and H in the top panel under the menu.
