WOW! One fix: in toolbox.c b = sp_button_new (size, type, action, tt); must be b = sp_button_new (size, (SPButtonType) type, action, tt); Also, there's now again some slight jumping in the aux toolbar when switching tools. status: standard GTK buttons

I'm nearly done a patch that converts SPButton to a subclass of GtkToggleButton. Works great, with one issue -- apparently, an SPIcon widget refuses to paint itself when placed in a GtkButton. I'm going to keep trying to narrow down the problem, but if anyone has any ideas... -mental

>Yeah, that's what it was. The preferences had a wacked out value. I'd love to know how that could happen. Right now there's no code that sets this value, only reads it. Perhaps a bug somewhere in the repr system. I cannot reproduce this crash with the latest CVS, so I have to guess: 1. if you have ~/.inkscape/preferences, delete it, restart inkscape 2. if the problem persists, please send me your ~/.inkscape/preferences.xml - i suspect there's something wrong with your options.nudgedistance value >I was just trying to use the arrow keys to move an object and inkscape >crashed. crash when moving with arrow keys

I was just trying to use the arrow keys to move an object and inkscape crashed. Sucks because I lost the changes to the document I was working on. I did a few experiments and it seems that moving a selection with the arrow keys is broken. This line M 100 100 L 100 200 moved here after pressing right arrow or alt+right arrow M -1.34217e+09 100 L -1.34217e+09 200 Inkscape will likely freeze or crash if you try to move objects a few times with the arrow keys.
