Feature Freeze for 0.36

A lot of new features have been prepared for 0.36, and as proposed earlier I think it's time for us to freeze further new features and shift focus to fixing bugs and putting the polish on what we've done so far. I expect we will want to be in feature freeze mode for at least a few days, and perhaps up to a week, before finalizing and packaging the release. So what we need to focus on is: * Finalizing & thorough testing features added for this release * Documentation of new (and existing) features * Fixing all high importance bugs (with criticality scores of 6+) * Testing portability to Win32 and Mac OSX * Preparing for the 0.36 announcement (PR, website, screenshots, etc.) Bryce

docked toolbar steals focus

Mental and whoever else can debug this, here's the problem: - start inkscape - press ctrl-arrows: canvas is scrolling (at least when the mouse is over canvas) - use e.g. F2/F1 keys to switch tools; ctrl-arrows still work - now click on any main toolbar button: ctrl-arrows don't work anymore EVEN after you click on the canvas! So the toolbar steals focus and won't let it go no matter how you try. Since this involves moving focus not between windows but between widgets, I'm not sure how to address this. The same applies to all other keys defined in event-context.c. Maybe we need to rewrite the handler in there somehow. Maybe there's a way to also fix the problem with these keys only working when the mouse is over the canvas. I could not fix this at my first try, now we need to focus on this because disabling keys that used to work is a bad usability problem. WOW! One fix: in toolbox.c b = sp_button_new (size, type, action, tt); must be b = sp_button_new (size, (SPButtonType) type, action, tt); Also, there's now again some slight jumping in the aux toolbar when switching tools. status: standard GTK buttons

I'm nearly done a patch that converts SPButton to a subclass of GtkToggleButton. Works great, with one issue -- apparently, an SPIcon widget refuses to paint itself when placed in a GtkButton. I'm going to keep trying to narrow down the problem, but if anyone has any ideas... -mental

Perhaps a bug somewhere in the repr system.
