Hi to all. The branch BSpline is on. https://code.launchpad.net/~jabiertxof/inkscape/BSpline It has the SpiroLive code refactored and the new code BSpline. It has a new button near spiro, It work in pen and pencil mode. For developers: I have a problem in code commented in bspline function. Please anybody can fix? This code is for use continuing existing curves in CUSP node. I lost my terribol history of this proyect in bzr because i kill the "bzr merge" command and it corrupt a file in the branch. Hi to all. Searching the blue prints, find this from AstromanPete https://blueprints.launchpad.net/inkscape/+spec/sketch-mode-contour-drawing I want to develop it, but whith diferences, i want to use Caligraphic or brush tool to allow if the user want random whith,opacity... in each variation. The only thing you lost using brush instead freehand, is the abbility to use beizer node to manipulate. Maybe the both things could be better. I dont have the email of the user and dotn know whats the better way to comunicate whith him. Hi and sorry for my english.

Problem with LPEPerpBisector

Hi, I merge a branch and compiling have problems with LPEPerpBisector the error said: CXXLD inkscape libinkscape.a(effect.o): In function `Inkscape::LivePathEffect::Effect::New(Inkscape::LivePathEffect::EffectType, LivePathEffectObject*)': /home/jtx/Development/inkscape/BSpline/src/live_effects/effect.cpp:196: undefined reference to `Inkscape::LivePathEffect::LPEPerpBisector::LPEPerpBisector(LivePathEffectObject*)' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [inkscape] Error 1 I coment this line to compile. Color of an object.

In my experiments with the code, I need some basic information on how an object is assigned its color parameters. Consider the following steps: 1. Draw a circle. Fill it with red color. 2. Draw a rectangle. Fill it with green. (both are solid colors right now) What would be happening in the memory/inkscape process ? a.) Will the inkscape process update the svg document side-by-side which will contain some style information ? OR b.) Is a linked list of objects updated in the memory which shall store the color properties for the circle and rectangle objects (along with other related parameters ofcourse, like stroke, style, etc.)? If you can give an idea on what files in the code handle these aforementioned steps, it will be great. The wiki's section on InkscapeColor does not help at all. I suppose the above question points to a more generic question ! " How are objects handled in Inkscape (while drawing) ?" Are they objects in the memory ? Perhaps grouping them just groups those objects under a group in a linked list or something like that ? Looking for quick answers. Thankyou. -- demicoder

Compiling on Windows 7

Hello all, Thanks for the help. This email is just a gist of what I faced. The latest build 11962 builds just fine with devlibs r41 but not on TDM GCC 4.7.1. I faced a similar problem in getting the code to compile a few months back in August, when mathog found out that inkscape did not compile successfully using TDM GCC. He suggested Vanilla MinGW, which is the one I am using right now, and inkscape just builds fine. So anyone wanting to develop on Windows shall need: Vanilla MinGW as of now. (Personally I haven't tested the previous versions of TDM GCC, although Uwe Scholer has reported successfully building on Windows 7 using TDM GCC 4.6.1 :) ) For other components refer the Inkscape Wiki: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Compiling_Inkscape_on_Windows I would like this information to be updated on the Inkscape Wiki. It shall help the beginners and save them time. Trust me, being new to OSD, and not being able to compile for days on end when you are following the instructions meticulously is demotivating. PS: TDM GCC 4.7.x (the latest) builds the code completely but inkscape.exe does not run. After the sandtimer cursor, nothing happens. -- demicoder

No Icons.

After a successful build, running inskcape.exe from the build directory runs but there are no icons for the tools. The image attached should clarify. Its a screen capture.[image: Inline image 1] -- demicoder
