Hey everybody, I'm not really aware right now who created this awesome possibility. I haven't really used it for any productive work so far, but I just love it. Maybe not the interface completely, but hey, the live effect itself is so fantastic! It's great for doing brush effects but by far more flexible, than what I've seen in Illustrator so far... Thanks! Inkscape + Boehm GC 7.0

Hi all, Is boehm-gc version 7.0 known to be broken or anything? Does someone uses it successfully on another platform? Compiling Inkscape against v 7.0 on OS X cause it to hang forever on startup. It just hangs and never get to the point of showing the GUI. Starting it inside gdb does not help in getting more info, not without knowing where to set a break point at least. Inkscape in Khmer

Hello List, I have finished translating Inkscape into Khmer (the official language of Cambodia). I have installed Inkcape 0.45.1 on my XP system, after finished installing, I got the inkscape in English. But I have to make a configuration in order to make in Khmer language. the steps to do is: right click on my computer in desktop--> properties--> advanced --> Environment variable --> click New under User variable for .... then fill variable name= LANG and variable value= km_KM then click OK, after I got Inkscape in Khmer. But in the title bar it shows ??????????? insteat of Khmer character. Can inkscape after installing swith to any language as we want? I mean that user can switch language to their own language. Sourceforge trackers still accessible

Hi again everyone, and Bryce in particular, It seems that, even though there's no tracker tab anymore at sourceforge, the tracker is still accessible when using the address directly. For example: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=93438&atid=604306 It would be nice if there was an error message, or better: a link to Launchpad, in place of the tracker to avoid people going there from links on other websites. Unexplicable bug

Hi all, This simple file: http://jo.irisson.free.fr/dropbox/badges_crash.svg repeatedly crashes Inkscape devel on my machine when I open it. And it have no idea why. Inkscape first crashed when editing this file (but the content I was editing at that time is not present in this file since it was lost). The document recovery did not work and this version is the last saved version which should not have been touched by Inkscape since I did not saved my changes. I am suspecting something with the grid which has been flaky for a few revisions (grid space changing on its own, grid appearing when reopening docs in which it was not defined etc.). I hope the file will be enough to diagnose the problem. If this can be reproduced I'll post a bug report in the brand new Launchpad bug tracker. JiHO --- http://jo.irisson.free.fr/

Fedora Package Maintainer

Hello, Denis Leroy e-mail me off list and mentioned that he's no longer interested in maintaining the Fedora package of Inkscape. If there is any other Fedora packagers that are willing to pick it up, that'd be great. I'm not sure of other Fedora lists that this should be posted to, but if people could forward it to those that would be great. Thanks, Ted

Another crash bug

Hi all, Seems like Inkscape is not really stable at the moment, lots of flakiness in the last few weeks. Here is another reproducible bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/172784 I thought it was related to the snapping Diederick mentioned but it also occurs with no grid and no snapping whatsoever. Grid bug

Hi, There's a very annoying bug with grid settings that has been introduced a few revisions back already and I've just found the time to report it: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/172778 I can't remember who was working on the grid stuff so I could not assign it. If somebody could. In addition to what's reported in the bug, I noticed that sometimes grid settings would change on their own, when editing something in the document. But I could not reproduce this so I did not include it in the bug report. If someone noticed the same behavior repeatedly, please add your comment to this bug. Thanks in advance.
