I found a bug in several objects after applying mask/clip-path giving me clue for lot of bug I found in inkscape. the object created (linked offset, or in some case a text to path,...) didn't follow the original object position. But keep the position of the object at the moment of setting of the mask/clip-path That's because when a mask/clip-path is set on an object, when the object move, the object coordinates are not longer modified, but a translation matrix is applied. At least the linked offset, doesn't duplicate transformation matrix (transformation attribute), then keep the original position/rotation. This cause the offset to go to buggy place when the original object is rotated + moved even without mask/clip-path. I will try to resolve this bug quickly but some help would be welcome.

Heya guys, did you all see that 150 million phones have now shipped that have SVG tiny support! http://svg.org/story/2006/9/27/121431/107 Anyway, I'm curious to revive this discussion about what we need to do to get Inkscape up to par with using differing SVG profiles. win32 cairo with ft support

Ishmal, the current svn does not compile. There is a call to some cairo_ft_ function in the inkscape source. Our win32-cairo version is not compiled with freetype support. I got a cairo-dev from the glade/gtk+ for windows project from sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=98754 Now it compiles. DO we have to update our cairo package or do we continue with the current and have to modify this single call to the unsupported cairo function. Thanks, Adib. ---

The Tile Clones dialog now supports blurring. On the "Blur & opacity" tab, you can set the blur percentage per row or per column of your tiling, as well as randomize blurring and make it alternate (all the same options as for Opacity). -- bulia byak Inkscape. Draw Freely. http://www.inkscape.org

save as AUTOCAD (dxf): Unknown error attempting to open temporary file

Hello list, I am using Inkscape Version 0.41 on Suse 9.3 and I would like to expot DXF format which does not work. What I have done so far: 1. downloaded svg2dxf.zip from http://ucsu.colorado.edu/~squiresm/ 2. unpacked the zip file and copied the files ps2dxf.sh and dxf_output.inx to /opt/gnome/share/inkscape/extensions 3. made the file ps2dxf.sh executeable 4. Then I start Inkscape from a Shell 5. right afte the start, I check the extensions-errors.log which has no messages 6. I place some straight lines and save them as .svg which works 7. I try "save as AUTOCAD (dxf)": Inkscape says "file saved" but 8. I get the following message in the shell: Extension::Script: Unknown error attempting to open temporary file : invalid or incomplete Multi-Byte- or Wide-Sign [translation from German: : Ungültiges oder unvollständiges Multi-Byte- oder Wide-Zeichen] No file has been saved. Any Idea, what has gone wrong here? Thanks for help Rai
