problem with dialogs

Hi, There's a dialog-related problem with current CVS. To reproduce it: 1. "File/Input Devices" -- for me it says "No extended input device", and I get two buttons: "Save" and "Close" -- 2. press the "Close" button (the one in the dialog - not the one provided by the window manager) 3. "File/Inkscape Prefs" 4. close the prefs dialog --the "Input" dialog shows up again-- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Status bar help texts visibility

Hi, last June there was a thread in this list regarding the visibility of the status bar texts. Sometimes the text string is too long to be seen completely, especially on smaller screens. Has there been any more discussion on this issue? Should I file an RFE. I also made a mockup of a possible solution to this problem; a kind of "frame" that can be toggled visible/invisible when necessary by clicking a button or using a keyboard shortcut. Inkscape Website Re-design Contest - Submissions

Developers, Well, there were a total of 3 entries for the website re-design contest. Please review each of these and only concentrate on the visual (and usability) aspects at the moment. We can have whomever the winner is (if we decide to use one of the new designs) put more time into it after the fact. My guess is we should vote on a first choice since the selection is so limited. -Josh

I'd like to hear if it's playable by other people. (I know a Media Player Classic/recent version of ffdshow setup can handle it, but I'd like to hear reports from users of more "standard" players, i.e. QuickTime Player.) -- David

Hi, With the chance of being told to RTFM (whats an M anyway?, I still havent read the Scribus ones!).. Where is the/Is there a Convert Text to Path option in Inkscape? (0.42.2) Why? Because importing text in an SVG into Scribus is ugly, due to a) limitations with our text frame sizes, b) PostScript vs SVG text definitions (IIRC). TIA Craig Scribus Team
