hey I removed the chapters marked 'incomplete' from the index. This included the following chapters: Render (Effects Menu) Generate from path Visualize Path Tile Clone Boolean Path Operations Rows and Columns Grids and Guides Transform Color ALL bitmap chapters XML Editor View Modes Document Properties Customisation Glosaary Hot keys cheat sheet Inkscape Community Inkscape and Wikipedia You can see it all here: http://en.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Inkscape/WebHome I have also renamed index items as they had explanations in the titles. The FM index system at this time cant display this well so we need to keep titles short. Even though I removed a lot the index is still thorough. If anyone can go through the chapters with me and check things we can have a version online within a few days. I'll try to free some time after january 2009 for the french part, but I can't do anything before. The exported PDF is 200+ pages! Seems huge to me, even if the subject is complex and wide. What about making it more compact, so that it could be easier and faster to release as a finished manual? And work on the parts we put aside afterward? -- Nicolas

Thomas, Would you be interested in helping the documentation team by writing a short description of each effect and saving your images individually for use in the manual? (even just the images would help, but I figured if you're excited about it, you might want to help more ;) If you're interested, I can even help you write the chapter yourself in the Floss Manuals Inkscape manual. translations and images

Hi, Looks like I'm not able to upload any image ("Invalid base directory: /var/www/floss_translat_translate/pub") and I can't get access to the directory with original images (we don't want to duplicate images that have no localizable content, do we?) Could this please be fixed? Alexandre

where u logged in? i have just set it up again..try it again and let me know if it does the same thing... Now it works.
