Illegal selling and creative claims on your free Inkscape software!
I cannot find any other means whereby I can report these illegal activities to you!
Are you aware that http://FreeSoftwareCD.net and http://www.cdearth.com
is trying to sell your free Inkscape software as "GraphicDesign Studio"?
In their policies if someone orders two other software titles for free then they could be charged for your free software.
The website does not refer people from their site to your site directly.
Therefore they are deceiving and lying to people about who makes the software, and they are not referring people directly to your website so they can download your software for free!
The site also charges for shipping of the CDs.
I ordered their "free" CDs, and when I received them and found out the software was free they made me pay for return shipping, threatening that if I did not send back the CDs paying for the extra postal service of "Delivery Confirmation" that the CDs could be lost and they would then charge me $14.99 for each CD that is not returned.
The company DECEIVED and LIED to me and told me that the software was worth 80% more than they were charging.
This is a lie and a deception seeing the software is available and free for download from you!
Please research them thoroughly because I believe they are illegally
selling your software under the guise of selling CDs or by forcing
payments on people by CLAIMING they did not receive the returned CDs!
Thank you!

Re: [Inkscape-board] Update of Committee & other matters for Conservancy/Inkscape discussion
by Josh Andler
Bradley,
Jon Cruz & I are the only ones who will be at SCaLE afaik. Jon will only be
here for the Expo to the best of my knowledge.
Cheers,
Josh

I had a feeling that this might be the case which is why I put that
language in. I also figured there was a good chance that you were probably
already aware of what he was talking about.
Personally, at this point I feel that it's not worth having a conversation
with him solely based on us not having our house in order in terms of
updating our FSA. In addition to that, a larger board conversation should
probably take place in light of the information you provided.
When I'm done with the stuff I'm doing for SCaLE. I will just tell him
something to the effect of: It's not a good time for us to have a
conversation related to this right now but we will keep it in mind if he'd
still be interested down the road.
Cheers,
Josh

Fwd: SourceForge New Revenue Share Pilot Program
by Josh Andler
Hello Bradley and Board,
I received the following email from SourceForge and obviously think it's
worth finding out more. However, I'm not confident that I will ask all of
the important Q's we need to have answers for.
Additionally, I have no idea if anyone here knows Roberto and might be a
better person to talk with him.
So, if anyone else would like to be the person to talk to him or otherwise
has good questions to ask, please let me know. Otherwise I plan to respond
on Tuesday to set something up.
Cheers,
Josh

Dear Admins,
I'm Roberto Galoppini, Senior Director of Business Development at
SourceForge, and I have some interesting news to share with you.
Since 1999 SourceForge has been committed to advancing the open source
software community. We host over 300,000 projects and are visited by
over 40 MM users per month for free, secure, and fast downloads of
open source software.
As a trusted partner of the OSS community for over 10 years, the
SourceForge team designed an innovative revenue share program to give
something back. The Accelerator program rewards high quality OSS
project teams for doing great work and serves to accelerate the
broader adoption through a global catalog.
We want to start investing back in trusted partners like Inkscape and
would like to talk to you about some new revenue sharing posibilities
for your project.
Are you open for a call later next week?
Look forward to hear back from you, best regards.

Board IRC meeting
by Johan Engelen
Hi all,
Let's do a board meeting?
I think a weekend works best because of timezones? The next two weekends
I'm on vacation but the one after (23rd Feb) would be ok.
for me, two points to discuss:
- travel subsidy
- merchandise
Cheers,
Johan
