Future meetings/hackfests
by Bryce Harrington
Summarizing the plans from the meeting today:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fall 2018
- Hackfest: Kiel, Germany (Maybe September?)
Coordinator: Maren
Spring 2019
- SCALE: Pasadena, California (March 7-10)
Coordinator: Josh & Ted
- LGM: Saarbrücken, Germany (May 30-June 3)
Coordinator: Tav
Fall 2019
- Hackfest: TBD
Coordinator: TBD
------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the Kiel hackfest, we'll need a proposal and a board vote. Maren,
can you set up some pages in wiki; you can use the past hackfests for
reference. What should the dates be? When it's ready I'll send out the
vote.
Start also contacting people that might be interested in going.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
For SCALE, probably worth doing wiki pages, if we're going to try and
stimulate attendance. Josh and Ted, can you set these up? If we have
enough people, should we also do a mini-hackfest for a couple days
before or after the event?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
For LGM Saarbrücken, guessing we can probably do the same as for this
recent one. Tav, mind setting up wiki pages for it?

That would be cool :)
Btw. I've heard back from Christoph about the color meeting in Germany
that I mentioned in a previous board meeting.
It has been canceled, because they achieved some of their goals already
via other routes, and because they've all already been working very hard
on the color specs, and couldn't invest any more time into meeting
in-person.
I've asked him back if there would be someone from Scribus who would
potentially like to join us in Kiel.
Tav, is there any specific thing or couple of things you might like to
work on during a potential hackfest in Kiel? (i.e. do you have
suggestions for topics already, maybe?)
