Background:
Past hackfests have provided excellent opportunities for Inkscape
developers to meet in person, discuss the project and coordinate work
on bug-fixing, feature planning, and other efforts. In the past we've
also sought to align the location and time of the event with
conferences or groups in the area to permit external collaborations as
well. Our experience so far seems to show that we're getting far more
tangible benefit out of the internal interactions than the external
ones.
Thus, this event will focus more sharply on the hackfest itself, giving
us much greater flexibility for time and location.

event (with help from Marc).

A request for legal/organisational input into a new flatpak hub.
Specifically asked for this to go to a non-development context which I
don't think comes across strongly in the below email.

Paris Hackfest proposal
by Tavmjong Bah
Hi,
We have an offer of free space for a Paris hackfest for June 27th-July
1st at the Carrefour Numérique² fablab (at the Cité des sciences et de
l'industrie). Nine Inkscapers have expressed interest in attending. I
would like to have a vote on proceeding with this hackfest. Here the
proposed vote text:

Issue Tracker
by Josh Andler
Hey Board,
Is there any way we can prioritize getting the successor to LP figured out?
I know we're moving two big pieces of infrastructure in the near future
(mailing lists and repo), but the spam from LP has had me far less engaged
than I have been in the past with the bug tracker.
It doesn't seem like Canonical is going to put the resources behind fixing
it (especially with recent cutbacks they've made). I don't want us to move
to something less useful prematurely, but at the same time, LP is much less
useful IMHO given how blueprints have been destroyed and we have false
reports filling mailboxes (even if temporary, it's an inconvenience).
Cheers,
Josh

[REFERENDUM] Mailman Replacement
by Bryce Harrington
Your vote is needed to coordinate the Conservancy with sys-admins and
rackspace to produce replacement mailing list infrastructure. This
mailing list will provide us a mailman3 backend, mailman3 frontend, a
forum that sits on top of the mailing list and migration from
sourceforge.
The goal is for us to strike out and make this system ourselves and
then invite other projects to share the machine with their own mailing
lists.
Two Votes:
1. Ask the conservancy to provide a rackspace machine instance where
mailman3 and it's front end can be run for our project AND other
conservancy and Free Software projects.
[ ] a. Yes, allow the conservancy provide a mailman3 machine.
[ ] b. Ask the FSF to host a mailman3 server instead.
[ ] c. Do something else:
____________________________________
[ ] d. Do not set up a mailing list server.
2. Pay for Ian Dearheart (zenhack) to work on the mailman3 setup,
providing initial setup, configuration AND migration from sourceforge.
The cost of which will be $850 and be provisioned with one month of
support after the completion of the working mailman migration.
[ ] a. Yes, pay Ian to set up the mailman3 system for us.
[ ] b. No, I know someone who will do it for us cheaper.
[ ] c. No, don't set up any mailman server.

Background:
The Inkscape project currently uses the sourceforge mailing list, that
was used originally for all project hosting but that we've migrated
entirely off of except for mail services. We considered changing to
Launchpad for mailing list services, but felt it would be too limited.
The mailman3 system not only provides a much better interface for us,
but also provides us with usable forums.

somewhere appropriate about the availability of the stickers and process
for requesting them to be sent.

[ ] d. Do not make any stickers for events
2. Distribute the stickers to key Inkscape contributors in batches, to
be used for any local events and to also be further redistributed in
cases where contributor can't go to the event.
[ ] a. Yes, distribute the stickers to atop list of contributors
for events and redistribution.
[ ] b. Send the stickers to one person who is responsible for

The conservancy has a strong track record of producing stickers
specifically for themselves and a few other projects. By providing the
artwork and funding, they could produce this low-entry event item more
easily for our fans at events and provide valuable brand recognition
for Inkscape over time.
Martin Owens will coordinate designs and sending things with the SFC.
