Hi Ted, Just discussed at the Hackfest whether it would be a good idea to "close" the old Launchpad Bazaar repo with a final commit (as we did with the old SF SVN repo). i.e. bzr rm * bzr add README then just add a "we have moved" message. Are you happy to implement this? AV

Paint is dead; long live Inkscape

Hi All, Would it be inappropriate to make some kind of Social Media push to try and catch some MS Paint users now that MS have marked it for destruction? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-40705466 I know Paint isn't a vector editor, but there might be some casual sketchers who'd be interested to know what their options are :) AV

Hello Everyone, While at the Paris hackfest, Tav and mayself had a brief discussion about the board and if it's time to open up one of our spots. Jon Cruz has missed more votes and meetings than our charter allows. And while I'd love to see Jon continue in the inkscape project, for the board, we need to have enough people to make quorum on votes. With that I'd like to propose we schedule a vote for new board members. We can take our time I think, and we have some excellent contributors who'd make good candidates. Let me know what you think. Capacity has been a bit limited with OSUOSL; we've banged our head on this a few times now. 2. Responsiveness to IT requests has also been pretty slow. Two infrastructure moves have had to be scuttled/replanned due to this. 3. Outages occur periodically (generally due to #1 or #2 but sometimes unrelated). * Goal is having a primary host, with a second independent host we can bring up as cold failover in emergencies. + Geographically separated, e.g. Europe + Canada/US + Backup host would be kept simple - a mirror of the primary that can be manually switched on as needed. + Even if we stick with OSUOSL we still should have another host, just for best practices in case of failures. * Current hosting has been 100% sponsor supported.
