Moving from Inkscapeforum. Do we need to vote?

Brynn has been trying to get in touch with InkscapeForum hosts for three months regarding the possibility of bringing it under the project's control, since it has served our community for so long as the go-to for Inkscape help and community questions. Three months down the line, no response. Since it's not moving forward, and indeed the hosts may not even be active in the community anymore, our thoughts are to set up an official Inkscape forum to host our community ourselves. Of course, this is no small decision, so I thought I'd bring it to the board for a vote. The options as I see it are: A. Make our own forum, which we can link off the official website, and begin answering questions there to migrate users to the official site. B. Wait longer and hope the hosts of Inkscapeforum contact us back at some point. C. Something else Open to alternatives, but since Brynn and other forum gurus are leaning towards setting up our own forums, I figured we owe it to them to get a good answer and solid direction as soon as possible. [REFERENDUM] Participation in Outreachy and authorization for fundraising

A majority vote of the current board members is required for the following matter. We discussed it in detail at the board meetings, but I don't think we formally voted on it. Conservancy requires a formal vote for moving forward with collection of donations for us. One way Outreachy appears to differ from the GSoC program is that funding must be arranged by the mentoring organization. Máirín believes that adequate external funding can be secured for Inkscape, to cover at least one student. With the Inkscape Committee's approval, Conservancy will create a Donate button to receive and earmark funds to be used for the Outreachy slot. At this time it is assumed the cost of the Outreachy participation will be covered entirely by the earmarked donations. If it becomes desireable in the future for Inkscape to cover portions of the internship cost, a separate vote will be done.
