Mac User needed to test a patch

We've had a patch sitting around for the better part of a year that implements a Mac OS X Inkscape Launcher. Unfortunately, none of the developers have a Mac on hand to test out the patch. Can someone with a Mac volunteer to test this patch for us? You need to know how to patch and recompile Inkscape on Mac. Help needed verifying bugs on Win32

We need some Windows users to help us with some of the bugs that have been reported, that don't appear to be present on Linux. If you're a Windows user, this is really important, because when 0.41 comes out you'll have a more stable tool than you would otherwise. ;-) Basically, we need you to test out what's described in the bug report and see if you have the same problem, and then add a comment indicating whether or not you could reproduce it. Any additional information you can provide on these bugs will be helpful. See the Reporting Bugs page on the main website for details. Latest Autopackage

The Autopackage build linked from inkscape.org seems to be dated December 20, 2004. Is this the latest Autopackage? I got the idea from inkscape.org that those builds were nightly. Perhaps the wording should be changed, if they are not. Aaron Spike

Opening large files

Hi, Sorry if this has already been dealt with but: I have a large svg file which I cannot open in Inkscape (v.0.40). My file is a large graph produced with graphviz (http://www.graphviz.org/), but inkscape seems to hang using 99% of the cpu when I try to open it. The same file opens in sodipodi 0.34, though admittedly it takes about 10s to open. After opening sodipodi is using about 68% of memory, on my 512Mb machine. Inkscape seems to stop using more memory after 55%, but it never opens. The svg file is about 5.1Mb. Is there anything I can do about this? I'd like to use Inkscape to view & modify this file. Hi, I just found this page: <http://www.gnu.org/software/for-windows.html>. It lists - not Inkscape, no, BUT - Sodipodi. I reckon this comes from Inkscape not being listed in the Free Software Directory <http://directory.fsf.org/>. I've just submitted a request to add an entry for Inkscape. I listed Bryce Harrington <you_know_your_email@...420... ;o)> as the maintainer and developer. The keyword list brings me to the suggestion of not just mentioning "open source editor", but also "free software editor" in the HTML keywords. Just a suggestion... Greetings, Felix

Hi Am still trying to install inkscape. I have tryed on suse 9.1, redhat 9 and fedora 1 always coming against a lack of gtk+ even after updating. How to vectorize diagrams

Using Post-Script Fonts in Inkscape

My last action was to use Post-Script Fonts in Inkscape, those, wich installed with Adobe Type Manager. I can see the fonts in other applications (OpenOffice, FreeType in GIMP) but not in Inkscape. Any suggestions? Feature request? THX Stefan Pampel
