wiggly lines, springs & coils
by Kasper Peeters
Is there a way to draw wiggly lines with Inkscape? (I don't mean
hand-drawn wiggles, those are never regular; I need wiggles which have
the same size everywhere on the path). A related question: is there a
way to draw paths with a "spring" or "coil" shape superposed on it?
Thanks,
Kasper

Arrows
by Wolfgang Schulz
Hello,
I following the Inkscape project for some time and 2 things prevent me of using it and also introducing it in our company (using the Windows version 0.44.1):
- My colleagues have to draw some simple technical drawings with arrows. When I use the raster - draw a straight line - change the beginning and the end of a line to an arrow, The tip of those arrows are outside the end or the beginning of the line (start and endpoint are on the raster). I suppose this is a bug - please help me if I'm doing something wrong.
- In the Windows Version I can't import any vector graphic other than SVG - at least I didn't find any option. Any hint is welcome. Is there any plan to add support for e.g. Corel Draw files?
Thanks
Wolfgang

NEW: two new examples
by bulia byak
With all the recent additions - clipping, masking, and especially blur
- Inkscape is now able to produce extremely photorealistic art. In the
share/examples folder in Inkscape distribution, you will find two
brand new, stunningly realistic images of shiny cars: car.svgz by
Konstantin Rotkevich and gallardo.svgz by Michael Grosberg.
Enjoy!

[Fwd: Adding a new input device to inkscape - Trust TB-4200]

Subject: Adding a new input device to inkscape - Trust TB-4200

I'm new to inkscape. I have a Trust TB-4200 graphics tablet that I would
like to use properly with inkscape - i.e. make use of the pressure
sensitivity.
It works well as a pointing device, although it occasionally switches
between behaving as a tablet and a mouse.
Is there an easy way of adding this device to the list of known input
devices? As installed, inkscape only knows of a Synaptics device - but
enabling this stops the device working altogether.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Flowed text missing in browser
by Jonas Grave
Hi,
I have created a SVG with regular and flowed text. When I view the SVG i
my browser the flowed text does not show. Only if I convert it to a path
(Object to Path). Is this the way to do it?

Is there a way to set up inkscape so that it will open in Outline mode?
by Bibi Morris
I use Inkscape to create files for my Wishblade. There is an entire
group of scrapbookers who use it for this purpose, we have figured out
how to set our default view to landscape, but is there a way to change
the display mode to Outline as a default?
Thank in Advance

Remember window position?
by Michael Grosberg
CAn Inkscape be set up so that it remembers the position and status of
the various windows between sessions? (whether a global or
document-specific setting)
I'd just like to have the layer and the fill and stroke windows visible
and in place whenever I start inkscape.
