OTF fonts not seen

Hi...
My previous post went a bit unnoticed....
Opentype fonts do not appear on my font list (Windoze)...
Hmmm anything I have not done properly?
The wiki is not very talkative about it, anyone has a clue?

inkscape200711070317 dependency issues

I downloaded inkscape200711070317 and ran the autopackage installer.
Keep running into dependency problems. Whereinheck do I get libMagick++.so.9?
I thought maybe it was part of ImageMagick, so I downloaded and Compiled it (I am on
Slackware 12.0), but no dice. If sombody could point me to the source code or a
slackware package, I'd appreciate it.

emblems

Is there a place that I can get generic emblems, that are legal to use, such as fire and police department emblems, that I can edit as needed?

group items on separate layers

I have two items in Inkscape 0.45-1. Each item is on a separate layer. When I group them together
they become grouped on the same layer. Is there a way to group items yet retain their layer state so
that I can control visibility? Hmm...

Using raster effects in development builds

I am using the .46 dev (Nov 30) build on Windows XP and would like to use the raster
effects, but I am not sure exactly how to get them working. I understand that I need
Imagemagick, but I am not even sure which version of Imagemagick to get seeings that I do
not know any programming language. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Think I have a issue with Inkscape

But not sure, a week or so ago I noticed a problem but kept working with it, I don't remember it from before so may be I just noticed it, who knows, but here is the problem,
This is the steps,
open Inkscape
Change to landscape and letter
Select outline mode
Import Pic or image,
Here is the problem, The pic does not show, I just get a box with arrows, if I then go and choose normal my pic shows ( I honestly don't remember it doing this before) so may be I should be selecting normal till after I do that trace bit map, is so that fine, but the real problem is below.
Then I make a bitmap copy
Then trace bitmap.
But them my other issue is, if I move the box with the picture at all, the picture inside the box moves so that you only see parts of the images, like the box is rolling around over different sections, its very annoying, and don't remember it doing that before,
I have uninstalled it and restarted and reinstalled and it is still doing the same thing, I am running 44.1 as I had loaded 45 before, and it has a know bug with saving, so I removed it,
Am I just loosing it, or is there a problem with my Inkscape.
