Thanks Tav for the feedback. Im working in a feature to allow use min lenght of a segment to define the aproximate lenght of the hole/dash, this allow corner perfect dashes in a rectangle with diferent ammount of dashes. I go to the link you send to catch more ideas... I realy like more a SVG spec than a LPE, mainly because Im not recreating the stroke but subdividing the segment, so we cannot handle fills without fill between many LPE. Regards. Inkscape no fonts

Hi guys, I try to run Inkscape 92.3 on OpenSuse 42.3 with snapd, but there is no fonts. It is running but i only see small square boxes. Can anybody help me? Tnx Sam

Making this value larger can speed up drawing, if you have large areas with complex filters in your drawing or work a lot with high zoom levels on filtered objects. Making the value smaller can make zooming and panning in relevant areas faster on low-end hardware (if there are no large filtered areas on the visible part of the canvas). The default value makes your screen consist of about four tiles that are rendered independently, if you're not using a hidpi screen (which requires more tiles). Locking in Users, Was: Website Feedback

Dear Erlönd Everaert, I'm the Inkscape Website Administrator, I'm not a lawyer and you should certainly seek legal council to get to know Free Software more and how it can help you do what you want to do. I'm sending this to the greater inkscape user community for feedback. Inkscape is Free Software licensed under the General Public License version 2. This comes with all the freedoms you need to present Inkscape to your customers, but it also stops you from removing Freedoms from your customers too. Everyone, you, your customers and anyone else MUST continue to have access to the software and it's code. This doesn't mean however that you couldn't present the most useful template, even default template with logos and such to customers. You can do that. But customers would be free to take your template apart and extract their copyright/artwork from the template too. My best advice, honestly, present your customers with the best experience. Make it the most convenient and easiest to use without making efforts to manipulate your customers into locking them in. Those locks will stop more customers from using your company than you'll get from stopping someone who goes with a competitor. Of course as the company with the best Inkscape workflow all worked out, your company will always be the most convenient place to have the work done and our large community will always respect a manufacturer that respects their customers. grayscale to s-code ngc

Hi, I'm building a laser engraver. I'd like to engrave grayscale pictures. To build the ngc-file I'm using inkscape ( what else ). The graffiti/ spraygun option in Gcodetools seems the right choice. Nevertheless grayscale is not translated to S-values. I need these values because my laser uses the spindle speed as reference for its intensity. Does anyone know where I can find documentation/ solution concerning this issue ? Greetings, René.

Suggestion for New User

Hi, I recently began using Inkscape on Windows 7 for the first time (0.92.2), and have been having some problems. Since I'm a brand new user, I'm not sure if this is due to my inexperience, or if there are some actual bugs. I've been following an online tutorial from Derek Banas ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qqTAjBaeJ0 ), but it refers to a much older version of Inkscape, and many things don't work the way the tutorial says.
