Im using SUSE, I have the 0.42 version of Inkscape. When tryinig to use Yast it dosent let me install becoause it looks as if it was allready installed (but not the version I want).

Hi peoplw, I found this old message from Hadmut and I need to reproduce his effect. I can't blur the object. I can't find any "blur" command in my italian version. Inkscape runs on Max OS 10.3

Hello everybody, Thanks to the repeated efforts of John Faith, the latest version of Inkscape now seems to run on OS X 10.3 aka. Panther. Many Panther users reported some bugs and were disappointed that the new 0.45 release left them behind. These cruel days are hopefully over! A build is available in Inkscape's development builds repository: http://inkscape.modevia.com/macosx-snap/?C=M;O=D [pick Inkscape-20070504-10.3.dmg] This build is made from a recent SVN snapshot so it has more features (and potentially more bugs also ;) ) than the 0.45 release. The application is also larger than usual (>100Mb) because it is not stripped from debugging symbols. Currently John is still struggling to complete a compile from a fresh start. Once this is sorted out and once this first build gets some testing, we'll provide a more official build (maybe a 0.45.2 if this is ever planned to happen). Text Dialog... apply button disabled

Hi! I'm trying to write some text and the apply button seems to be off. Furthermore I cannot seem to select the particular font I want. The font is "Myriad Pro Semi Bold Condenesed Italic", in the dialog I only see Myriad Pro, with the various variations (that's on my Ubuntu Feisty installation). On my windows installation I don't see that font at all. Another point is that the font is an OTF file. So, what gives? Thanks! Roberto Leibman

Logo "contest"

Hi First, not a contest because I can't offer anything to the winner. Just to be "the winner". Next, I am just announcing this here, at inkscape users list. Mainly because I want a vectorial logo, but also because I am an inkscape user and love it (but I do not know how to draw anything). Ok, what is the "contest"? I am involved in a project of an 'open dictionary' (dicionário aberto in Portuguese) and I would like to have a logo for it. The actual page is available at http://dicionario-aberto.net and is just in Portuguese (and will be that way forever), but I'll create a page with the received logos (if anyone contribute). Native Inkscape on OS X

Hi, I wonder what the current status of a native Inkscape version for OS X (ever since the first announced good news) is (the wiki doesn't really help [me, at least]). To cut it short: * I love Inkscape * OS X is my primary development platform these days (I do have flavours of Windows and GNU/Linux available for testing and special tasks, I'd like to cut that down to testing) * I want my Intuos tablet to work properly with the calligraphy tool (did I mention that I love Inkscape?) * I'd rather pump € worth of a CS3 Illustrator (missed opportunity, as far as I'm concerned ;-) license into a worhtwhile project, if that helps (I don't drink beer anyway [0] :-) [0] Seriously, I encourage everyone thinking about the issue if you can afford it at all -- personally, I'm not exactly getting rich but wealthy enough to start thinking about it. I've gotten more out of free software (or whatever your label is) than I could ever pay back, which is not say that I shouldn't pay back at all, anywhere. Now that I could afford Adobe products, I'd rather invest into freedom (and to me, there are no 'leechers', 'undecided professionals' maybe, which is unconditionally fine :).
