Hey All, I just wanted to tell everyone about the creation of two PPAs that we created for Ubuntu users. One is for the current stable/supported release of Inkscape (not populated yet). https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/stable The other is a nightly/trunk PPA for our testers and those who just want the newest features right away. https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/trunk We owe a big thank you to Alex Valavanis and Cafuego for doing all the hard stuff. New Measurement Tool in Inkscape

Hello, I'd like to let you all know that I have been working on a new tool for measuring objects in Inkscape. Here is a screencast of the tool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZKnxTO11xE But if you checkout the development code from Bazaar , then you'll see some new things that were implemented in the tool after recording the screencast (i.e. the tool now displays angle info also). Hello Sir I have to compile Inkscape on window with inkscape version inkscape-0.48.1 and tdm-gcc-4.5.1.exe. Hi all, I'm using Inkscape to Latex and I would like to change the font size (e.g. to small) inside the picture environment that is created. Therefore I have to edit the script (I have already done this under 0.47 + extension Inkscape to Latex). Unfortunately, I can't find the script in 0.48. Could anyone help me to locate the this script? Thanks in advance.

I would love to see a submission process similar to that for clipart.org in the file menu for the dA group. I create stuff every day in Inkscape, and if I could get it onto dA easier, and ping the admin for the group at the same time, total win. j.

CD of Inkscape-drawn Comics

I hope this isn't considered too spammy for the list - apologies in advance if it is. We're creating a CD-ROM containing all the strips from the first two years of our webcomic. They're all drawn in Inkscape, and the CD not only has the PNG versions, but also the Inkscape source files. That's 57 Inkscape files - or over 70 if you include the translated versions which are included (courtesy of inkscapeforum.it). There are loads of extras as well - commentaries, an interview, early sketches and more. We're taking pre-orders for the CD at £3 each (about $5 US), including worldwide delivery, and would love to see some end up in the hands of Inkscape users who might actually stand a chance of finding a few of the Easter Eggs that we hide in each strip. Hey All, I think the Inkscapers group on DeviantArt (http://inkscapers.deviantart.com/) is underused. Scislac made me a moderator some time ago, but the configuration of the group gives little opportunity to develop the group--not that I know much about DA groups yet. I would like to help build up the popularity of the group if I could have my access elevated to explore its setup. Inkscape meeting at Libre Grapics Meeting

I just wanted to drop a quick note that the Libre Graphics Meeting has scheduled a general Inkscape team meeting for today at noon (two hours from now).
