A shot in the dark, but you could try mkaing the size of the canvas that of your object? I'm not sure how PDF would handle such a thing, but that would at least force the size of the page to that of the object, and as such (I would expect it that way) the resulting PDF would have the same size?

Newbie asks aboout blending photos

A frequent task is to take two photos and stitch/blend them together using a blurred line (straight or curved.) I am hoping that there is a straightforward way to do this. Skew confusion

Hi, I'm a bit confused over how skew is supposed to function. When I perform a horizontal skew of 20px on a 100x100px rectangle, I get a bounding box of 120x100px, with the top shifted right 10px, and the bottom shifted left 10px. But when I perform a horizontal skew of 20px on a 100x64px rectangle, I get a bounding box of 112.8x64px. 12.8 = 6.4.x2? Why does the height affect the amount of horiz skew when horizontal skew amount is specified? Any suggestions? Printing and fonts on MacOS X

Hello, I'm using Inkscape 0.43 on MacOS 10.4.5, and I encountered a couple of problems when preparing a very simple drawing to be printed (it only contained two labels): 1. first of all, I don't understand if/how can I print a drawing; Inkscape does not seem to access system printers (like other X11 apps, e.g. Gimp.app, do instead), and printing with its default options does not seem to have any result; 2. then, I also noticed that not all my available fonts show up in the text properties dialog, e.g. I downloaded today a free font called "Aardvark Cafe", it shows up correctly in Gimp.app, but it's not shown in the Inkscape font list. Any clues? Thanks a lot. -- Ciao, Marco.
