Hello, For those who are interested the Call for participation for SVG Open this year has gone out. Very exciting, and specifically I can comment on how nice conferences are on the Google campus. Link in PDF

Hi all, I just exported a map I drew in Inkscape 0.46 as a PDF. The map includes a link, but when I open the PDF, the link doesn't work. (When I open the SVG file in Firefox, the link is there alright.) Does Cairo ignore embedded hyperlinks? Is there a workaround for this? The map can be viewed here: http://static.twoday.net/grafomatic30/files/fmx_09_map.pdf TIA, Claus P.S.: Btw, when checking my Inkscape version, I noticed that there's a new SVG used as a back- ground image in the "About ..." window, which I find really beautiful! Hey All, One of the last major contests held on DA was won by an Inkscape user. Hello, friends. I know inkscape is a vectorial tool, and not a raster one. But I think these two operations make sense as well on vectorial images (at least I am needing them). Vertical bottoms (oo-er)

Hi I know it has been brought up before[1] but does anyone know if 1) it is possible to hack Inkscape 0.46 to make the vertical ruler zero at the top rather than the bottom of the page (or at least make it user selectable), or 2) whether there are plans afoot in future versions to implement this Personally I find it one of the biggest PITA with Inkscape and very counter-intuitive for my Anglocentric brain. Inkscape and a triangulation tool, such as Gmsh

Hi all, I am looking for a way to generate a 2D triangulation of a shape (in the attachment) by Inkscape using a triangulation tool, such as Gmsh (http://geuz.org/gmsh/) or else. I am wondering if anyone has done this before. It will be great if I can reload the output into inkscape afterwards. Any idea helps. Thanks, Mengda

Text un-bolds after saving as pdf via Cairo?

Hello all, this is my first post so apologies for any bad etiquette! I have been using Inkscape to crop pdf's of graphs for a report I'm writing. This involves importing the A4 pdf page, selecting the graph or figure and then fitting the document size to the selection. I then re-save as a pdf via Cairo, which has been working really well! Nice, sharp correctly sized graphs. However, I've noticed that bold text (axis titles) un-bolds after saving, any ideas on how to stop this? I've tried importing at high precision, but no luck. Also there's a drop down box that specifies how text it handled, but I only have the option to "import as text". Thanks in advance! Alex

Can math support be enabled on the Wiki, please?

I would very much appreciate it if math support could be enabled on the Inkscape Wiki. Specifically, I'd like to use it for the Advanced Gradients page. I'm sending it to the list(s) because I have no idea who is "in charge" of the Wiki, so if you do know, that would help as well.
