Problem to run 0.44 version

Hi list, I installed the .44 version using yum but when I try to run it an error ocurrs, pleas see it: inkscape: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtkmm-2.4.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZTIN3Atk11ImplementorE What could be done ? can't find a function

Hi, in Inkscape 0.44 I'm missing a function, that I often used in version 0.43: when I'm tracing a bitmap, I get a lot of little 1-node-colorpatches. In 0.43 I selected one of this nodes, deleated it, and all the other 1-node-colorpatches were gone too. See: http://www.hagoschaos.de/test/test.html This was very helpful. In 0.44 this doesn't work anymore. Is this function hidden anywhere else now? Where? Regards, Hago

Effects/Generate from Path

Surprise, just installed .44, Jun 26 2006 build, using yum on my AMD FC5 box. Question: What does the subject effects do on objects, type, vectors, bit maps? The only thing that happens when I use either Blur or Extrude is overlays over the original. Am I missing something? What's the story here? Thanks. frank

Help my "fill and stroke" dialog is gone!!!

Please help. I installed the version 0.43, everything worked and then fill and stroke was gone, no matter what. I also installed 0.44 and the same thing. On my other machine it works just fine. What should I do, I really want to use Inkscape... Kind regards, Muller

Hi! Is it possible to select object by their color? I know this feature in Gimp. I have a diagram with 3 curves but the points are not connected and I just want to group them. CPU usage.

Is it me or the Fedora version of Inkscape 0.44 uses more CPU now than 0.43 did? It may have been the case with the other versions I've tried, but it certainly is quite noticeable since I installed the Fedora packaged version. Anyone else noticed this? By the way I'm on FC5 x86_64, and a friend of mine also noticed this on i386.

Inkscape .44 won't run under Xandros

I just tried to run Inkscape using the newly released Xandros 4.0, and I get this message: inkscape: error while loading shared libraries: libcairo.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory What the heck is libcairo.so.2, and how do I get my hands on it? LaTeX formula rendering. Which pstoedit?

Thanks for the great release. I am particularly excited about Effects > Render > LaTeX formula However, it silently fails for me with the autopackage release on Ubuntu (Dapper Drake). The DVI file and PS files are correctly compiled in '/tmp'. They preview in evince, but are never inserted. If I try to import the resultant PS file, inkscape reports the following error. Failed to load the requested file /tmp/inkscape-latex.tmp.ps I presume there is a small inconsistency between the versions of pstoedit. I see the following version string. pstoedit: version 3.42 / DLL interface 108 (build Jan 19 2006 - release build) : Copyright (C) 1993 - 2005 Wolfgang Glunz What further steps can I take to track this down?
